Story of my life.

I must be the only person these LIW prayers don't work for. Someone up in the heavens is REALLY testing my limits, and I feel like I hit that breaking point. With a month left, I am still way short on wedding money, and all options have been exhausted.

To put it lightly, we are F@CKED. There is no other way around it.


***UPDATE***

FH went to a GM's house tonight, and they were talking about the wedding. FH was explaining how things were getting harder and harder for us, and this ANGEL of a GM whips out a wad of cash, only saying not to tell his girl!! We obviously plan on paying him back in full after the wedding, but OMG! What a Godsend!!!

what about taking a loan? obviously not ideal but possibly still an option?

or can you borrow $$ from someone in your family and pay it back right after the wedding?

We've exhausted all those options already.

I'm just going to have to cancel some things and hopefully get some of my money back to pay the rest of the debt.

I'm sorry you are going through this I would try to take a loan from a bank if possible

what about putting things on a credit card instead? sometimes you can get the vendors to do that they might charge you a fee though, but at least it buys you some time to pay back the bills after the wedding

Does either of you have deferred comp at work or pension $ you can borrow from and pay back after the wedding ? Those type of loans are easy and quick. Sorry you are going through this, I know credit cards are not a great option but you could try opening a new one and getting cash from them (or asking someone to use theirs) and then pay it right after with the gift money you get.

Credit cards are maxed out ... We already took money out of 401k. Every time we did a mini loan like that, we ended up having to spend it for something else - I got a new credit card, FH changed positions at work and it killed us - I was stuck paying all the bills for 4 months, and during this time, FH's truck broke down and I was forced to get a new(ish) car. We got some 401k money, FH had an emergency appendectomy and was out of work for 2 weeks. I got another new credit card, and FH's aunt died, so he was out of work taking care of his mom for a week.

At the rate we've been going, I'm actually SCARED to open up our wedding cards - what kind of bad sh!t is gonna happen then?!?

Ladies, I need to apologize to you all ... I feel like all I do is post negative sh!t lately, and thats not fair to you. We are all supposed to be super happy during our wedding planning.

I just wish that I can go ONE month without any giant hurdles to jump. Nothing has been easy since day 1. I almost feel like someone (guardian angel, maybe?) is trying to stop the wedding for a reason, and that scares me.

SERIOUSLY!!! I didn't know people still kept that kind of cash around in their houses!!! This guy was actually in the running for BM, but FH went with someone else only because the current BM has more free time.
