Music BEFORE the Ceremony

Hi girlies How long did you play music for before the ceremony began? What did you play? I have options since I'll be getting married on site.

I think typically it's one song and it's called a prelude.

We have a half hour hospitality time before the ceremony begins. We will be playing lots of classical music by Mozart, Bach, Faure, Vivaldi etc.

that's what I thought too, but I was reading some advice, I think it was from the knot saying 'don't test your guests patience' and that a lot of people don't think about the music for the half hour or hour before the ceremony begins.

edit for spelling error oops :)

Since I put 10:30 on my invites, but the ceremony doesn't start until 11, we're going to play a half hour of music. I selected a bunch of popular songs played by the Vitamin String Quartet.

I want to do that too... I'm thinking about getting a string quartet/trio or even duo for hospitality and ceremony. Everything's at my RH so only need them for an hour. Anyone have ideas on pricing for this? DJ said $1200 which I think it ridiculous for 1 hour!!!!

we are playing some low key tunes, like coldplay, dmb, etc. I recently went to a wedding where they played regular mellow music beforehand and it was nice. But I doubt most people would even notice it, honestly
