Re: Music for ceremony?
it depends on what you want and where you are getting married hall/church
we are getting married at the RH and most likely having my friends daugter and her friends, play their violins, they are all in their high school orchestras

Re: Music for ceremony?
i am getting married in a church and using the church organist. But i will have a bagpiper play outside the church as we enter/leave. FH is irish and i think its a nice touch.
If i was getting married at the RH however, i probably would have hired a string quartet or something to that extent. I love the way violins sound!

Most churches besides there fee will charge you extra for it. For instance mine is charging $125, but you kind of need it.

We are having a string quartet at the church. We wanted the bagpiper outside the church too but this might be too much so we'll decide that closer to the date. My dad used to play them and I went to see all the parades and stuff his pipe band was in so it would be nice for him and me, but only after the ceremony when we are outside.

If you're getting married in a church you need to check with them.
At a hall it's really up to you. I'm going to have my DJ provide ceremony music. They offer to do it for a few extra bucks.

Re: Music for ceremony?
I think every church is different, you have a lot more freedom at a RH for the ceremony, churches you usually need to run it by someone - definitely do that before booking someone. Our church gave us a pamphlet of guidelines so you could ask your church for that- for RH's you're probably fine with whatever.
