Re: music selections

i think i may have the bridal party walk in to air on the g string by bach. i want to walk down to canon in d. for the recessional i think we may have a traditional jewish song called siman tov, mazel tov. we are having a string trio. there is a great wedding song cd that i found at barnes and noble. it has 3 discs of classical music. if i find the name i will fm you!

Re: music selections

I used Jesu, Joy of Man's Desire for the Bridal Party
the wedding march for me and dad (dad is huge wagner fan...otherwise I'm not sure that I would have used it)

since we used one 'wedding' song...I wanted something different for the processional
we went with the arrival of the queen of sheeba ...its got such an upbeat...I love it

we also contemplated vivaldis four seasons

Some suggestions for preprocessional/processional:
Adagio from Sonata in E-flat (mozart)
Aire in G (Bach)
Andante from tthe 5th Symphony (Beethovan)
Ave Maria (Bach)
Arioso (Bach)
Four Seasons - Winter (Vivaldi)
Minuet in G (Mozart)

And for recessional:
Four Seasons - Spring (Vivaldi)
La Rejoissance (Handel)
A Little Night Music (Mozart)
Prince of Denmark's March (G. Sklerov)
and of course... The Wedding March (Mendelson)

Check our Borders, Amazon etc., they have some helpful books on wedding music that often come with CD so you can hear the songs too.

Hope this helps!
