I just want to say that this place was fantastic. They did everything right. I have been receiving calls from everyone saying how impressed htey were witht he place and that it was the best wedding they have ever been too. I couldn't have asked for more.
For those of you who have them booked you have nothing to worry about.... anyone still looking, I highly recommend the Chateau Briand. I want to do it all over again, thats how much fun I had.
The food was great, the weather was great, The staff was great.....I can't thank them enough for everything.

I used Wedding Group One for Video and Photography. They were fantastic. I can't wait to see the final product.
I used Aristocrat Productions for DJ and I was concerned about them after booking because I hadn't heard of anyone who used them but I must say they did a fantastic job. The dance floor was full all night. They were great!!!
I used Flowers One for flowers and I wouldn't recommend them. Although the floweres were pretty, they were coming apart all night. It was just too much trouble.
For Limo's we used Royalty Limos. I have mixed reveiws on them. The limos were nice and the AC was working and we had a full bar but the driver of one limo was a bit rude to one of my guests and I was later told that the driver who drove home our wedding party was rude also. But all in all, I thought my driver was great and I didn't notice anything wrong myself.
I think that is it...Our day was fantastic and I still cannot beleive its over.

Anyway I would love to see what shots you took in CB b/c I am getting married there and eventually I want to write a list of pix locations for the photographer. I am so happy you had a perfect day!!

I used the Normandy room and I came up from the floor. It was very nice. Nobody was expecting it. If anyone plans on doing this I have one suggestion. Ask them not to use so much smoke. They put a little smoke on the elivator as you go up but when you reach the top the smoke gets heavier. You can't see nayone and they can't see you until the smoke clears. I would have much prefered just a bit of smoke for illusion.
There are so many picture opportunities there. The one that I stressed was the waterfall picture. My photographer wasn't thinking of that picture but I asked and he did it.

You need to have the photos saved as .jpg files and they need to be under 50K. Click on the properties of each file to see how large it is. Then one at a time, click to post a reply, browse (bottom under this) to your file on your computer, then when you hit post reply the photo will be there.

You had a wonderful day for your wedding, my friend was married the same day she also had her wedding at the Chateau Briand. It was a lovely wedding I had so much fun and the food was excellant!!!!! Congrats to you and your Hubby!!

One question for you, did you get to do any free tastings before picking your menu? Someone posted that they got this huge free tasting/meal from the Chateau & when I called I was told that they don't do that. My BM told us that it would cost us $ to do a cake tasting. Meanwhile, I've heard from other brides that they too have gotten free tastings, what's the deal here?! I'm going to pick out my menu with them this coming Monday (our wedding is 50 days away). I had to call them to schedule something becuase they never called or sent me anything (they claim a letter was on it's way but I never got it). I'm worried that my wedding with them will not be a happy one becuase of the way I feel we've been treated so far. I'm paying them good money, I expect good and friendly service, I guess I expect to be treated like a VIP to them & it hasn't been the case thus far.

Evelyn, I had the same problem with CB. Before I booked them I wanted to taste and the Bqt mgr told me the did not do that, I was persistent and the night we left a down payment we had a complimentary dinner with food from our menu and it was delicious so dont worry. I also posted questions about this and got many responses from people who got married there and from people who attended weddings, check previous posts.

We didn't really have a food tasting. We did get a free dinner for there restaurant and were able to pick from our menu however, it wasn't like we were able to say 'I want to try everything on your cocktail menu to see what I want' My FH had the CB and I had the Chicken and we just ate from eachothers plates. We did not get a cake tasting. I wouldn't really have mattered either way. We didn't get the fillings we asked for in our cake. We asked for Banana and Strawberry and we recieived vanilla custard. I would stresss this too them. I really didn't notice because I was to busy to notice but that evening when I thought back on everything is when I realized this. I will say that I never had a problem with them professioanlly. They were very nice and professional to me the whole time. I really wouldn't worry too much, I am still receiving phone calls today from people saying that they loved CB and it was the nicest wedding they had ever been too.
We had an evening wedding. I tried to post pic's but they are too large in size. Over 50K.

112903- That was your friends wedding! I have a funny story to tell. One of our guests and her DH were at the wrong cocktail party. They were eating, while the photographer snapped pics and didn't think anything of the fact that they didn't recognize anyone. My sister noticed them and aproached them to tell them that they were in the wrong place but not after they were there for a good 150 minuts. We keep giving them a hard time about it because we thought it was hysterical. I wonder if this was your freinds wedding and if she has pics of people she doesn't know at her cocktail hour she will now know why.

They do not do tastings, I did not care one way or the other. I thought about it, if a company knows you are coming for a tasting aren't they going to do their darndest to make it fantastic?? Does tasting it today guarantee that it is going to be the same come your wedding day???
My wedding was on 8/3/02, we had the Normandy room and we told them very little smoke, it was awesome, I saw some pix from the table cameras and I love it. I am going to try and post some if I can today. Our cake was delicious...no tasting there either.
The CB does a fantastic job, since we have returned from our HM all we have been hearing are how professional they were, how wonderful they were and its the best wedding.
Evelyn don't worry you will have a fantastic wedding, CB makes every bride feel wonderful. THey do their thing and they do it so well!!!
