My 9/1 wedding at Land's End
Hello everyone, I haven't posted much during my wedding planning but I came to this site almost every day near the end, to read everyone's advice and I can't thank you all enough for that, so I want to post about my wedding in hopes that I can help someone else. First things first though, I want to extend my deepest sympathies and prayers for those who have been touched directly or indirectly by the recent tragic events in our great city and across the nation. Let this be a time of comfort and love with your families, and let us look forward to the many happy times and events to come in our lives. My wedding was at Land's End in Sayville, for those of you who are booked there, rest assured, your wedding will be amazing. We had an afternoon wedding, and although it was supposed to rain, it turned out sunny and beautiful and we were able to have the ceremony and cocktail hour outside as planned - both were incredible. Many many people thought the cocktail hour was the dinner! People are still raving about the food and the impeccable service. For those of you still looking for a place, take a look you wont be disappointed. A little pricey but totally worth the peace of mind during the stressful planning stages - they took care of everything. If anyone has any questions feel free to email me. We used Park Ave for the pic's and video, and I haven't gotten them back yet but they were great to work with and I have no worries that they'll be great, our engagement pics came out great also. Flowers by Burton were great, on time, very reasonably priced (same prices for any flower) DJ was Dejavu - got the crowd going, everyone danced the whole time despite the DJ's concern over a daytime wedding and big windows in the reception hall. Limo's- Ultimate Class - also very good, great reputation and they were early (even though I was running late!) Hair and makeup: Valerie and Charmaine from Paul Anthony salon in Manhasset. Both came to my house and they did an amazing job, I was very very happy with both of them. We stayed at Danford's for our wedding night which was beautiful and went to Hawaii for 2 weeks which was completely a dream come true. If anyone has any questions please email me and I'll be happy to fill you in on anything. One more thing: table cameras, my mom developed them while we were away so I've had a chance to go through them and they are awesome!! Lots of fun candids that I'm sure the photographer wouldn't have gotten. I got the wedding one's from BJ's ($25 for 5 pack) which I saw on this site and I am so glad I got them. Highly recommend it. Best of luck to those still planning and remember that it's a truly amazing day filled with love and happiness, try to spend time with your new husband during your reception and enjoy yourselves! I can honestly say this was the best day of my life and I wish you all much happiness and love :)

We stayed in Maui and in Kauai, both were beautiful but Maui had more nightlife and Kauai had more nature/beauty. Both had shopping but probably moreso in Maui, but it was the type of shopping you could do at home (Banana Republic, etc.) We drove the perimiter of both islands so we saw a lot and they are both very pretty.

We are planning to go to Maui and Kauai. We're not sure which one to do first or what hotels. We were thinking 4 Seasons and the Hilton. Where did you stay? Any suggestions from anyone else?Welcome New Vendors
