My 9/23/01 Wedding (Long)
WOW!!! If there is one word to describe my day that would be it. I have heard other people say it was the best day of their life, and I have to say that in my 45 years it was the best day of my life (except for my children being born). The weather was perfect thankfully since both wedding and cocktail hour were outdoors. We decided to take pictures before the ceremony and I am very glad that we did. Below a review of my vendors. Any questions please ask. Wedding and Reception: The Beach Club in Lake Ronkonkoma. We had booked there in March of 2000 and had to take their word that they were doing work to make it look better. It is an older facility, but it sure didn`t look or feel like it that day. The work they have done on the outside has totally changed it. I cannot say enough about everything they did for us. Woody our Maitre`D and Carrie the bridal attendant were marvelous. We lacked for nothing and everything ran as smoothly as could be. The food was totally awesome. My brother and sister-in-law are both chefs (my brother is the executive chef at a 5 star restaurant in Boston) and they did nothing but rave about the food both at the cocktail hour and at dinner. Everything was served hot and tasted awesome. We got nothing but raves from everyone about the whole day. The Beach Club is owned by the same people who own Windows on the Lake so anyone who is getting married at either place need not worry. You are in wonderful hands. Flowers: Petals and Ink. I spent more on my flowers than on anything other than the caterer. I wanted the feeling of a fall day and I got exactly what I asked for. Jen the owner and designer asked me what I envisioned for my day and then she gave it to me. Again completely perfect. I practically cried when I saw my bouquet. It was yellow-orange roses and lillies, with wheat and greens and it was magnificient. Jen does fantastic work and it was worth every penny. She is not expensive, what I wanted was!! DJ: High Energy Entertainment-Perfect. We did not want to pick our own music and we asked Ralph to do it for us. Everything he chose was exactly right. We had guests from 1 1/2 to 91 years old and there was something for everyone. I would recommend him to anyone. You will not be disappointed. Photography-Koala Studio's- The studio is owned by 2 women and they both come for your day. We have not seen pictures yet, but we had given them a list and I know they got every photo we asked for. They are great to work with and were completely unobtrusive. They had infinite patience and I can't wait to see my pictures. Hair and Makeup- Jackie from IMakeupyou and Margaret who Jackie recommended. Marvelous!! I looked beautiful and I never ever have said that about myself before. My daughter and granddaughter both looked fantastic as well. They came to my house which made it so much easier. Go for a trial..you will book them on the spot. Bridal Gown and Maid of Honor Gown- Bridal Suite of Patchogue--I have already posted about my negative experience with them and it only got worse. I cannot recommend them to anyone. I will post separately about what happened with both dresses. Limo-Dynasty Limo's- I would not use them again. I was not happy. The limo driver was early and we were running a bit late(which happens). He kept coming to the door wanting to know when we would be done with pictures and ready to go. I felt he was rather rude. He was only dropping us off at the catering hall and he made me feel he had better things to do. Oh well..I didn't let it bother me. It was a day I wish I could relive over and over again. Happy and joyous and the most fun I have ever had. Both my husband(yippee)and I agree it was just the best. So did our guests. I could not have asked for more.

So very happy for you - Congrats!! Question...
Koala Studios is located in Medford. Their prices are very reasonable and they allow you to tailor your package so you get the most for you money. They also have a four payment plan where you only have to make 2 payments before the wedding. Both women are wonderful. Their telephone number is 631-654-1831. I hope you use them. I cannot wait to see my proofs!!

The honeymoon was to Quebec City and the White Mountains of New Hampshire. The weather was not the best because it rained 5 out of 7 days..every day in Canada, which meant a lot of the outdoor things we wanted to do we couldn't. New Hampshire was better with brilliant sunshine on Saturday and Sunday. The fall foliage was pretty much at peak and gorgeous!!! It was chilly but we had planned for that sort of weather and we both like it that way. It was tough to come home on Monday. I was originally supposed to go back to work next Monday, but had to be back today due to some changes at work. YUCK!!!We had fun though and memories to last a lifetime.
