My 9/6 Wedding Review...LONG!
Hi everybody, just got back from my honeymoon and wanted to give you all a review of my magnificent day from start to finish:Hair and makeup: I used Jackie from Imakeupyou for my makeup and Margaret who works with her for hair, and I couldnt say enugh about them. They did excellent work, not only did I love the job they did on me, but my BM's and FG and Mom all looked fantastic. I would highly recommend them!
Score: 10
Photographer: We had Peter from Patken and he was also excellent. Although I didnt see my proofs yet, I am confident that they will look great. He joked around a lot and kept the mood light, but worked his tail off. Once the reception hit, I didnt even know he was there, he was really in-obtrusive, but was taking shots the whole night. Again, would definitely recommend.
Score: 10
DJ: Get In Tune Productions...probably the best vendor of the whole night. We had Joey as the M/C and Mike as the DJ, and they were great, played a great mix, listened to what we wanted, and got the crowd going. We had many compliments on how good they were. Plus, we had Liberty the percussionist for our cocktail hour, she played the steel drums which we loved and did percussion during the reception. We were so glad we had her, it was so different and cool.
Score: 10
Video: First Class Productions (Got them thru Get in Tune). Gary was quiet but was on top of everything and not in the way. I didnt see the video yet of course, but I think it will be good.
Score: 9
Flowers: Malkemes Florist
The flowers were beautiful, even more than I thought they would be, they were a pleasure to deal with all the way through. The one problem was they forgot to deliver the boutineers and corsages for grandparents to the hall, so they had to come back with them. Basically the guys didnt have corsages for the pictures. But at that point, it seemed so minor to me I didnt even stress it.
Score: 8 1/2
Limos: M&V Limousines
They called 2 days before because they had a problem with the Bentley that we rented and asked if they could substitute with another, which I was glad that they did and didnt just show up with another car.
The drivers were on time, were very nice and the cars were in great shape. The only problem I had was in my contract, there was a 20% gratuity included, so I wasnt planning on tipping them. When they dropped us off at the hall, they were looking for a tip from my husband. He asked me, I said, we dont have a tip for them, its included in the contract. He told them this, they said that the place doesnt give them that gratuity. So long story short, we ended up tipping them. But I wasnt happy about that, and plan on calling M&V tomorrow to straighten that out.
Score: 7
Reception: Port Jeff Country Club
The hall was spectacular, the food was great, everybody raved about it. The one problem I had and any PJCC brides, beware: my MaitreD was not good. We couldnt find her most of the night, other people were bringing us drinks because she was nowhere to be found, the buttons on my bustle broke and my dress was half dragging on the ground, people kept trying to fix it, and I finally sent my husband to find her, because I thought that she should have been attending to me!! I am still kinda upset about that and I plan on letting them know. Other than that, the place was awesome!!!
Score: 9
If anybody has any further questions, please let me know...I will be happy to help!!

Ooops! Forgot one!Bridal Suite of Bayshore: To make a long story short, I was very unhappy with the way the altered my BM gowns and their treatment of my Bm's. The dresses had a zipper problem that caused them to 'ducktail' on the skirt. They told my girls that the dresses were too tight, and they (my girls) ordered the wrong size, meanwhile they suggested to them what size to order after measuring them. The salespeople were very rude to them, and I noticed on one occasion when I was with a BM who was getting her first fitting that when we had a question, the sales staff were all too busy helping one woman to answer our question. I felt like once they got the sale, they were done with the customer service.
Oh yes, and one of the BM's gowns had stains all down the front when she took it out of the bag the morning of the wedding. It looked like they had sprayed starch on it and the stains didnt come out.
Overall, I was not too happy with them. I know others have had good experience with them, but just wanted to tell everybody to beware.

The PJCC does a beautiful affair. I am sooo happy you had a great time. Thanks for the 'tip' on M&V. The driver scammed you which does NOT make me happy and I plan on calling them in a few days to make sure that they know the drivers better NOT pull that on my day. Please let me know how this turns out. You deserve your 20% back in CASH! That was very, very rude.

Glad to hear you had such a nice time. I'm getting married at the PJCC next summer, can you tell me a little bit more about it? Who was your Maitre'd? what was your menu? Did you get married on site? Thanks so much!
