Original post by failurebydsign

LADIES IM SORRY

THIS HAS GOTTEN OUT OF HAND

NOBODY HAS TO REPLY BUT I JUST WANTED TO CLEAR A FEW THINGS UP

I DON'T WANT ANYONE TO THINK THAT I AM ANY BETTER THAN THEM BECAUSE I AM MARRIED NOW

ITS BEEN 3 1/2 WEEKS..THAT'S HARDLY ANYTHING

I KNOW I SPENT ALMOST 2 YEARS OF MY LIFE PLANNING FOR THIS ONE DAY AND CRIED EVERYDAY ABOUT IT AND JUST WANTED TO GET IT OVER AND DONE WITH CAUSE OF THE FINANCIAL COMMITMENT TO IT BUT ALL I MEANT IS THAT I FEEL LIKE WHEN I SEE SOMEONE FREAKING OUT ABOUT A CRY PACKET OR SOMETHING TINY..THINGS ARE STILL GOING TO BE PERFECT CAUSE YOU MADE IT THAT WAY WITH ALL YOUR PLANNING AND ITS JUST A DAY WHERE YOU SPEND A LOT OF MONEY AND THEN ITS DONE..YOU AND YOUR GUESTS ARE GOING TO HAVE AN AMAZING TIME REGUARDLESS..THAT'S WHAT I MEANT

THIS ONLY GOT OUT OF HAND BECAUSE OF THE WAY I WORDED IT

AND IF I REMEMBER SOME 08ERS THAT AREN'T MARRIED YET AGREED WITH ME SO HOW CAN THIS BE A THING ABOUT WHO'S MARRIED AND WHO IS NOT YET?

I DON'T EVEN REMEMBER MY WEDDING DAY IT WENT BY SO FAST

SO I WILL NOT DO THIS AGAIN AND IM SORRY FOR WHAT HAPPENED..I HOPE THERE AREN'T PEOPLE THAT ARE NOW NOT GOING TO CHAT WITH ME BECAUSE OF THIS..IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH WHO I WAS BEFORE

IM SORRY FOR ALL CAPS BUT ITS JUST A WAY TO GET THINGS ACROSS I GUESS

PLEASE TELL ME WHAT A CRY PACK IS

its basically regular tissue packets but instead of like the kleenex logo on it a couple will put their names with a saying on it. Then they hand it out at the church incase somebody will cry

Oh... well thats a bit of a let down

What did you think it was going to be?

Re: MY APOLOGY

Awwww hon!!! IM sorry you feel like you need to apologize. I know what post youre talking about and I agreed with you. I knew where you were coming from and just by posting the past few months, I know the type of person you are and knew you didnt mean anything harmful by it. You shouldnt feel like you need to walk on eggshells especially on a forum. If people dont get you, explain yourself once and thats it! If they still dont get it, then its their problem!!!

Re: MY APOLOGY

When you're online there's bound to be miscommunication -- the other person can't hear inflections in your voice or see your facial expression and sometimes we come off a certain way without intending to.
When I first read your post (after posting one of my own about being overwhelmed) I'll admit I was a little annoyed.I thought, what is this site if not a place to vent and freak out about the little things? But I understand what you mean. Basically you feel that, in the end, the little details (like the color of your cake ribbon for example) don't mean much -- not when you compare those details to the life-altering commitment being made - and freaking out isn't necessary.
Sometimes it's not what we say, but how we say it. Trust me, I've offended more than my share of people over the years by not choosing my words carefully -- I considered it a life lesson.
Also, I think some girls on this site are extra sensitive but they are under a lot of pressure -- the financial aspect of it alone will make you want to shoot yourself. Some of us are working (sometimes 2 jobs) and going to school or dealing with young children at home while planning the wedding of our dreams. Who knew it would be this hard?

Dom, would you go away,, god I thought we would finally lose you to the newlywed boards!!!

I am kidding! But I know that you didnt mean to offend. It might have been just a mis-interputation of your message!

Re: MY APOLOGY

I don't think you said or did anything wrong. The problem with boards and e-mails for that matter is you can't convey 'tone.'

Your message is loud and clear! Don't sweat the small stuff b/c at the end of the day you're married and the day was perfect no matter what!

Re: MY APOLOGY

I have never seen you post anything offensive! I dont know what you are talking about unless it was your post from the other day, but i dont think you need to apologize for anything you can say whatever you want! No matter what you say here somone is gonna find a way to twist it around you have been n this website long enough to know that!

don't sweat it! I still love you!:

Nice of you to say your are sorry - although I don't think it was rude what you said and I understood your message!!!!

Re: MY APOLOGY

I don't think it was rude at all. I happened to agree whole heartedly. People get to wrapped up in the small things, because in the moment, it seems your wedding will be ruined if you don't have cry packs and bathroom baskets. This is why I chose not to do any of these things

I don't think an apology is necessary.

I'm not sure what went on..but i don't think theres any need to apologize..people misinterpret things all the time (its especially hard on the computer)..we all know it wasn't negatively influenced

Re: MY APOLOGY

People stop being so dammn sensitive - get over it...

I dont think you need to apologize, i found nothing offensive in what you said!

Re: MY APOLOGY

I think its really nice that you took the time to apologize, while I didnt really find your other post offensive, its all a matter of perspective- some things that seem little to me, may be more important to you & vice versa... but either way
