so ladies i told u i woudl proivide a review and pictures.... the first i will def get up right away
let me tell you that the overall vacation was wonderful and so relaxing getting away from american culture... definitly something that i NEEDED.
after a long trip down, and a busy first day thursday night came and it was the grooms last dinner as a 'single man'... he met me and we chatted... so sweet. he lives in both Canada and Argentina, and met his wife on a trip to argentina... they fell in love and although he cont to go back to canada they managed to stay together and marry.
she planned the entire wedding while he was in Canada. there was no color theme, no bridesmaids or groomsmen.
the church ceremony started at 9pm and it was over at 10/ 1015pm (the sun sets at 830pm and it was cool enough in the church that time of the night)
after the ceremony the bride and groom took pictures around the church while we all drove to teh reception location... i dont want to call it a 'hall' bc it was just a huge location.... it was like a mini castle.
they had gardens to the far left, a pond with a stream that flowed through the property to right under the dance floor. the pond had Coy.
the dance floor was outdoors under a HUGE tent, and was above the main floor level (the pond ended under the dance floor, half was wood half was glass maybe?)
at the far end of the dance floor furthest from teh gardens u entered this massave room where there were about 38- 40 tables seating about 10 ppl. (i remember seeing table 35 then table 39 and thinking omg!?)
yes 38 tables!
once we arrived we had coctail hour outside under the tent... they walked around with drinks, and bit sized food (frided broccoli, fish balls, fruit)
after the coctail hour we had a civil ceremony on the gardens followed by fireworks!
then we walked inside to the massive seating area and had the FOOD!
we had appet. and then we had the option for seconds or thirds of anythign on our plate!
we then had dinner, and dessert... same with the seconds or third helpings..!

someone walked around with a full platter of the extra food.
between the dinner and dessert they had professional tango dancer preforming on a stage to the side of the main room, they preformed 3 dances.. following the dancing they showed a movie of pictures of both the bride and groom as children adn once they started dating.. it was real sweet.
after dessert and we were stuffed liek a thanksgiving turkey we went back tothe dance floor under the outdoor tent and they started dancing!!
the bride and gooms first dance was the cindrella dance song

then they started dancing with their family for the next few songs... there was an open bar full with strong liquor and more after dinner snacks were beign walked around (pizza bits, olives)
this is when EVERYONE got twisted and danced the dinner off and forgot what tiem it was.... (dancing started at 2am and we left early at 530am)... the rest of FH's family did not come home until 8am when the sun came up.
they had a DJ and they were playing alot of common american songs... we heard billy joel, michael jackson, frank sinatra, BSB, madonna, new pop that we hear on the radio today.. and old spanish club songs.
TONS of fun!!! def loved how they ate first then danced the night away... it was a LONG night... but i loved that concept... it makes sense... no interruptions liek here in teh states... you dance then you get into it.. then u have to eat dinner... then you eat then ahve to get up and dance again.. then you sit down for desert... etc.... but just a LONG night but no one left until 6am! that could NEVER happen here in NY!
sat night the couple left at 7pm for a flight to their honeymoon.... they went to mexico!
if you got this far thank you for reading.. i just wanted to share with you my different wedding experience.
