My BM is sick

About two months ago my friend one of my BM's told me that she hadn't been feeling well and it was related to the weird pains she had in her back for the past 6 months. Back in March she told me that every time she would drink alcohol she would have pains in her back and chest....so she saw some doctors and they coudln't relate it to anything....well recently she went for more testing and they found a lump in her chest and she got the results. It's Hodgkin's lymphoma. She is only 25 yrs old and its so scary to imagine this girl that i grew up with is so young and has to now deal with cancer.

She went to Sloane in NYC and found out that she will have chemo for 6 months.

Its so hard because I don't know what to say to her some nights and im trying to just be as positive as I can.

Please say a prayer for her

OMGGGGG Im so sorry to hear this. I have pain in my back all the time but I think its just the way I sit. I should go to the doc too

I am so sorry for your friend I will pray for a full recovery.

It is really great that you can get your priorities straight and see what is really important. I am sure she needs you now more than ever

I am so sorry to hear what your friend is going through it is nice that you are there for her she needs all the support she can get I send many prayers your way

omg that is horrible- i am so sorry for your friend and you & I will definately say a prayer! I think sometimes there isnt really anything that you can say to a person- its just that you're there- make her laugh, cry with her..

Wow I am SO sorry to hear about your friend. I hope everything turns out to be ok. Sloan is the best place though so that is good and if it is in Stage 1 that is also good. I know how you feel though my mother died of lung cancer 3 years ago, it's hard. It's especially so hard because your friend is so young. Just keep hanging out with her and letting her knew that you are there for her. Just be her friend and she will be very greatful. Good luck to you both!
