My Bridal Shower
I had my Bridal Shower this past Sunday. It turned out to be very, very nice. I was surprised, emotional, and it was so much fun. I actually thought it was this week coming up but they got me very good and my FH helped as well letting me believe we were going to a relative's birthday party.
Mother Nature cooperated because Sunday was sunny and a beautiful day.
They had it at the New Hyde Park Inn Restaurant and Catering in New Hyde Park. I'd definitely recommend this place. I will place a link on the bottom of the page.
They have intimate private room which I loved. The food was delicious. The staff was very courteous and attentive and even more with the Bride to Be.
I had the Chicken Cutlet Parmesan with pasta that was delicious and they give big portions.
I got sooo many presents. My registry only have a few items left. I registered at two different stores. Some of my guests gave me three gifts. I also got my complete set of Fine China...All 12 (5 Piece Place Setting). I couldn't believe it. I thought I'd get lucky and maybe get 2 but not all 12. And also got my KitchenAid Artisan Mixer and the Senseo Coffee Maker which was the only gift my FH was excited about getting when we registered.
Sister In Law and Girlfriend (FH Husband’s brother’s wife and his other brother’s girlfriend) got the Wine Poem with a basket full of the wine for each occasion. I had done this for her with the other bridesmaids on her Bridal Shower.
My Bridesmaids made a towel cake for me as well. They printed a menu with my name on top and the Bingo they printed it out with a picture of FH and I in the middle. It was really cute.
My FMIL gave me tons of gifts but one that was really sentimental was the same doll she got from her mother when she got married. FMIL only has boys though. The doll is dressed as a bride with her wedding gown, veil, updo hair and open toe sandals and garter on her legs. FMIL's mom made the dress for the doll bride. She gave the doll bride to me so that one day I can also give to my future daughter.
One of the guests whom is FH's relative make me a sentimental box with pictures of FH when he was a little boy....she even included the fork and spoon he used as a baby.(FMIL gave it to her)...now I have to put my baby pictures in there.
I couldn't really have asked for a better Bridal Shower. It exceeded my expectations....not only because of the gifts I got but for all the sentimental gifts which for me count the most that were given. I feel truly Blessed !!!!
I will post pictures for all of you to see. I've been asking everyone to send them over and to develop the ones they have.
I will post them as soon as I get them.
Just wanted to share with you my excitement.
