The Chuch where we were supposed to have our ceremony just called me (while at my friends baby shower) to tell me that unexpected construction is taking place on our date and they are going to have to try to find a different church to hold our ceremony. I called the other day to confirm our time and they were acting really wierd and said someone would call me back!! I am so angry and upset. The priest that called is hoping another church in the area will have our date and time available. Thank God I told the printer to hold off on the invites. I am so angry and upset. I know it is really not anyones fault. Sorry just need to vent.

Oh my gosh!!!!!!! How could they do this??!!! You will find a new church, no worries. Just breathe adn you will get through this too. Good thing you waited on invites!!!

Thanks girls! I am still shocked. FH said if worse comes to worse we can get married at Flowerfield. Getting married in a church is important to me and I know it is what my grandma would've wanted. Not to mention we already paid for precana and a family friend who is a priest agreed to marry us. I just keep thinking about all the vendors I am going to have to call and hope if the time is different that it will work for them. I don't even know when the church are supposed to call me and let me know if they have another church in the area available. I was so surprised, not to mention at my friends shower, that I didn't even think to ask. I am really mad that they couldn't tell me this the other day when I called.

Omg I am sooooooooo sorry!!! I prob would have flipped out on them because that is just wrong!!!! They better find another church for you because that is really not fair. Thank god that you didnt print your invitations yet! If you really want to get married at a church, I would continue to ask people and look around. I wouldnt want you to settle and get married at your RH when you really didnt want that. I mean, if worst comes to worst and you have to get married at your RH I am sure that it will still be beautiful

if ever there were something to vent over this is it. I am so sorry! I cant even imagine. At least your invites were not printed....I hope you find an alternative. Just think of it as everything happens for a reason, perhaps the new church will be more beautiful/ work out better.

That is horrible! What denomination are you if you don't mind me asking? I live around the corner from Flowerfield, and know all the churches in the surrounding area, and I would be more than happy to point you in the right direction if you need a church that is semi local to the RH.

No, I am not. But it is funny because the reason why I called the church was because I read something on here not that long ago about something like this happening (maybe you?) and I just had this feeling to call. I guess I should listen to myself more often.

Thank you very much for your support girls. Our priest had recommended that we get married close to RH so that more people would come to the ceremony and they could get back and forth easily. I guess I just picked the wrong church. I am going to wait until Monday and if I hear nothing, I will call again. If I still don't get the answers I am looking for I will start calling around myself. I was so excited about finally getting things done this week. This is actually the second major catastrophy, our photog double booked our date, but he found us someone immediately. I am going to try to stay positive and focus on the fact that no matter where I am, after 10 years of knowing FH, I will finally be his wife and whoever comes, comes. Thank you for all of your kind words and reassurances, it really does make me feel better!!
