my cousin is looking for a RH for a winter themed wedding

my cousin got engaged this past november and is looking to have a January 2009 wedding -
She doesn't want anything fancy like chandelirs and marble floors, more of a wooden floor plain decor look - (not tooo plain) lol
any suggestions? nothing toooo far out east, as we are in Queens.

THanks for any advice!

She's lookign for a Saturday Night Wedding Probably around 200 ppl.

check out the Milleridge Inn and Carriage house... I think it would be so pretty for a winter wedding and it has wood floors

Also check Foxhollow The Winter Garden Pavillion is soooo pretty!

I was going to recommend the milleridge inn (specifically the cottage house) as well. We chose it because it's a little plainer than most halls and has a homey/victorian type feel. She can FM me if she has any questions

I second (or third?) the Milleridge Cottage! That was our #2 choice and I looooved it. It was decorated for Christmas when we first went to see it and it was absolutely beautiful. It's so elegant, yet understated at the same time.

I was going to suggest MC as well! It looks gorgeous in the winter, and it has hard wood floors everywhere.

Gabbie, she'll probably have to look at the Cottage though, the Carriage house is too small for 200 people. And I think she would only have to guarantee 150 to have it in the Cottage.

WESTBURY MANOR!!!! those were my exact requirements too. and i had a winter wedding there. it's gorgeous in the winter. fireplaces roaring. decorated christmas trees everywhere. it's soooo Christmas-y.

and if she gets the manor room, you can still see evergreens out in their gardens, so it's not just 4 walls. there's one whole wall of french doors and another wall of windows.

not one single chandelier! and everything inside is mahogany wood...the floors, the walls, etc.
