I'm so flippin' excited! After having seen Kristy's (billandme) embroidered veil that she posted...I was inspired. Luckily I found out about a few places that make custom veils...and Kathy Occansey came through!! I wanted a little something extra on my veil since my gown is so simple. So we worked together with the appliques she had and came up with this! It has crystals and rhinestones too! Can't wait to see it in person!!!

I so very highly recommend Kathy!!! www.obridal.com She has been so amazing in this process!
ETA the veil will be worn a little lower on my head so the blusher will actually fall closer to my elbows.

Looks greatttttt!!! I've recommended Occansey Designs a lot on here and I didn't even use Kathy! She was going to make a custom veil for me and was great at sending me pics etc (prices great too!), but I ended up finding the veil I fell in love with for less than 1/3 the original price, so I got that!
And you're the reason I found out about Kathy so THANK YOU!!

As long as you don't wear cleats you will be okay. Did you hear back from the yankee announcer yet? My wedding didn't have a theme well marriage was our theme but that was boring so I love reading all the fun stuff you are doing.

awww thanks! I haven't sent out the letter yet- I gotta buy stamps first! Getting to it this week and I'll let you all know what happens!

oh YAY!!!! I didn't realize that - so happy that you used her. THIS is exactly why I like to post about all my positive (and negative) experiences with vendors... Even if I don't book them, I know that someone else could want to use them!

I can't say it enough- can't wait to see it in person!! I'm gonna be on LI next weekend...but only going to Hofstra and then to a Yankee game...maybe I should go out of my way to my mom's house just to take a peek!
I guess I could wait a week later when I'm finally home for my niece's communion!

No, I've been really bad about taking pics. I'll have to do it this weekend, I have so much stuff at this point, with the wedding coming up so soon! It's a lovely veil, though: light ivory, fingertip length, one layer, with a silver pencil edge and tiny pearls every 2' along the edge. it's just what I wanted, pretty, but not too much. I don't want people to look at me and think VEIL, I wanted it to be understated, but pretty. Got the pearls because there's some on my gown, my tiara, and I'm wearing pearl earrings and a string of pearls.

Uh, no. I didn't ask her to. However, it's just like this one, except this has the pearls 5' apart, and mine are 2' apart. I like it much better with more pearls!
