my DIY Card Box with Pics!!!

hi girls! i finished my card box just before, good use of my one day off i'd say! what do you think??

it's made out of 8x10 picture frames and i added some pictures and fabric and scrapbooking stickers and stuff!

yay! i'm so happy! PLUS 29 days to the wedding!!!!!

k donna and mary! here's the details:

so i bought the four picture frames, and at Sears i bought 8 1 1/2' x 5/8' corner braces. and i screwed them all together in both the top and bottom corners. The corner braces do double duty because they hold it securely together and also serve as a rest for the square foam board i rested in the bottom. the top is made of two separate layers of cardboard. the very top layer i bought batting and white satin. i actually, using a thimble, sewed the little pillow top and used zots to stick some rhinestones there. i won't lie...the top took me HOURS! but i think it's all worth it. i put ribbon using a 1/2' zot secured to the opposite top corner braces and then wove the ribbon down and through to secure the top to the box with little bows. ...

I thought it was pic frames but I wasnt sure. I have to say, hands down, one of the most heartwarming cardboxes I've seen on here. So much thought and detail put into it. I love the baby pics and it's just so unique.

aww, thanks so much! i just had so much fun doing it! i love FHs baby pic...he's wearing his grandpa's hat. (insert heart melting emoticon here :o) but thanks so much... i wanted to have something a little different!
