My 'e-party'

Ok ladies, here it is, my first post. Fh and I got engaged Christmas eve but the plan for our wedding had been discussed way before that....soooo my e-party will actually be a surprise wedding! We will be in regular dressy attire he first 1/2 hr and then i will sneak away for wardrobe change and my fh, bm, and moh will be waiting at the end of the dance floor with the justice of the peace and my brother will walk me in an boom...get married. We are very untraditional so this is perfect for us. We just recently told the parents and my mom is cool with it but FMIL not so much, she has told numerous people and is totally trying to ruin this for me. I REFUSE to let it happen!! Anyway, the big day is march 27th and I am so excited but soooo nervous!! I knew I could post my secret here bc it seems like everyone here is one big family! So anyone got any advice for this newbie???

I'm sorry I don't have any advice to deal with a FMIL like that, but I just wanted to say how cool i think your idea is!! I never heard of someone doing this! Good luck with it all! make sure you update us before and after...

I so wanted to do that and just get the wedding over with but fh wouldnt let me do it. as far as fmil I really cant help you there because I couldnt see my fmil going for it either. just let her know to please stop telling people it means a lot to you to get married this way.

I would sit down with her and your future husband, and talk to her about what this means to you so she can better understand? That's a hard situation, but in the end it will all work out!

My to do list is relativelly long buti have to say vendors have been MORE THAN accommodating

I am lookin for a good florist and dj. I have called only a million places and I am just having a hard time. I only have 49 days!!! I am not panicking yet

Whatever happens, even if your FMIL tells a bunch of people, don't let it ruin it for you! How are you doing with a to-do list? Is there anything that you need help/suggestions for?

Its the best thing for us. I really thought pulling a wedding together in 8 weeks would be impossible but I have quickly learned I can do anything I set my mind to... As far as FMIL she still hasnt given me a list for her relatives....she will be super disappointed when only my family comes!! Fh is useless when it comes to the guest list!!

I def still need a dj and florist! This week I plan to check that all off my to do list....I will be in non stop wedding planner mode for the next few weeks!! Got any amazing recommendations???

I did splurge last night and buy the bridal hanger!!!

Here I am still needing main vendors and I am buying hangers!!
