Our party was sunday as a lot of you know and it was great..it was at Papa Joe's in Deer Park etc etc.. Come Thrs night.... I get a call from a friend saying that one of the entrees was bad meaning like old. The flounder was going bad and like 10 people got sick!!! The other people sent theirs back and the waiters actually said to them 'yeah we weren't sure if we were going to put it on the menu!!' How can they do that!!!!?? Also they kept going up to people and saying umm..so how does it taste???
I am really upset because two of my friends are pregnant and in the wedding party and thank god didn't order it but what if they did?? FH called and they were all like we are eating it now and its fine...yeah it's fine..its not the same batch of fish. All in all they are giving us a $100 gift certificate.. I am still mad though...

Ummmm Wow. I'd make a bigger deal - like they should give you some of your money back. $100 gift certificate wouldn't cut it for me. That's their way of getting you to come back in there and forget about it. Thank god none of your pregnant friends ate it.

i dont blame you, i would be furious!!! youre paying for the food per persona and youexpect a certain level of service that they promise!! knowingly serving old food is so not part of that i would go to the store and have a word! thats ridiculous you spend so much money 10 people got sick and all you get is 100 gc??? dont they care about their reputation? if i was that store owner i would be groveling, hellloooo its a restaurant and the food was old!

Oh, H*LL no! 10 people got FOOD POISONING, and your waiter TELLS ME that they weren't going to put the 'fish on the menu, because it was old'!
I'd write a letter to the owner, and I'd go back and get money off the eparty. I don't expect, I DEMAND good customer service when I'm paying you for a service.
You're not overreacting... I'd go back. 100.00 is not worth what happened to my friends and family...

I would go to the board of health if I were you...10 people got sick...There are restuarants that will be inspected if one person got it, but to get 10 people sick and not want to admit fault...Also call a news station, get the word out there...I am sure they wouldnt want this plastered all over the news
Go back in there and demand something from them...$100 to go back and eat their food isnt going to cut it...

my mom will be on the phone with them ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this is ridiculous....my party is next sunday there....i will NOT allow this to happen!!!
i went to a shower there in january and the fish was great, it was what FH and i both got, and can't wait to get again...but not after hearing this!!
they will definitely be getting a call now and if there is ONE complaint about the fish when we're there they are going to have major problems!!!!

alright...FH is really not happy right now...i just got off the phone w/him, told him about this...and hes like FURIOUS!!!
hes afraid now that if ppl get sick at our eparty they wont wanna come to the wedding!!! i told him thats silly because people know the Watermill's reputation...they wont miss our wedding jus cuz of that...
like i doubt the ppl who got sick at ur party, Alex, would skip ur wedding!!! lol
FH gets a little ridiculous sometimes...
but either way he's not happy!!!!

I would def. make sure I go there and talk to them. 10 people is alot to get sick!!!! Thats not right and for a waiter to say that! I just wish someone would have let you or someone in your immediate family know about that comment right away. Thats no way to talk to people and if they did know it was old, how dare they serve it to your guests. Good luck, Let us know how it goes. You should def, follow up with the board of health.

it almost sounds liek they were mocking you. the way the wait staff was saying 'mmmm how does that taste?' did you ever see the movie wating???
i would have freaked out, and went down there and shoved the gift cards up their a$$. how could they give gift cards.

Wowwww. You should make a big deal out of it!!! It was your money spent there...
You should talk to a manager or owner and get that resolved... That is very dangerous..
Also, you should report them to the county.. Girl.. That can happen to someone and they can die of poisioning..
