Had a makeup trial today. I showed FH the before and after and he said ' You looked better before'
I was crushed....
On one hand I love that he thinks I am naturally pretty, but on the other my feelings are hurt.
He also said: 'it is too much and I don't like lipstick'
Normally I wear Bare Minerals, eye shadow, mascara and gloss.....simple.
How do I balance wanting to look and feel beautiful on my wedding day with FH thinking I look beautiful as well. I want him to think I look the best I have ever looked when he sees me coming down the aisle.
I want to respect his opinion but I DONT want to look like I do everyday on my wedding day and that is what he wants.....

Hey girl! I had a similar issue... My FH absolutely hates makeup and I usually don't wear much, just bare minerals, lipgloss/stick and mascara usually. I was really worried that he wouldn't like the makeup, but I went to Marie Katz and she made me look and feel glamorous without looking overly done up. I absolutely loved my trial and so did FH. Pics are in my album... they didn't come out great but you get the idea. Good luck and don't stress, you'll find a makeup artist that you love!!!

My suggestion: have your make up artist use your bare minerals make up. I blow dry my hair every day....but it never looks like it does when my hair dresser does it. You'll be wearing all your same stuff but it will look extra perfect, with maybe a little more OOMMPPHH. That's what I'm doing.
