My feng shui wedding theme....
Call me superstitious or just plain nutty...but it is important for me to have balance and harmony at my ceremony and reception.
I try to represent the concept of feng shui in my home and my office, so why not my wedding? The concept of feng shui is the proper placement of the 5 elements in nature to create peace, luck, happiness, long life, health, harmony, etc.
I asked my florist to create a CP with all 5 elements so there is balance at each table and especially on the arch where we will be married under. She is going to represent the 5 elements (wood, earth, fire, metal and water) by putting curly willow (wood) with the flowers (earth) floating candles (fire and water) in a metal stand to complete my insanity. lol.
I also plan on having '5 element' candles stands on either side of the aisle, which later will be placed in the reception room in the east, west, north and south accordingly. What do you girls think?
