I am trying to compromise! Seriously we make a decision on something and the next day it is like a whole different story. He is going back and forth from one extreme to the other. AHHHHHH!!!

be thankful that he is actually thinking about different things and not so close-minded and fixated on one thing and one thing only (in my case i had to break FH of his audi s4 fantasy)... keep looking and talking, you both will not get everything you want, but WILL be able to compromise and discover what's important to BOTH of you. it's a long process and not easy, everyone goes through it...

Well Thanks girls. I feel better knowing I am not the only one. I have a feeling this is going to take a looong time My FH is sleeping now and I am going out with my best friend. Talk to you all tomorrow!

im having a similar thing....my fh doesnt want a ranch style, and i see nothing wrong with it...and thats what most of the houses are in our small price range

Oh god! I don't even know what it will be like when we get to that stage. We can't even agree on appliances and china!

Don't worry too much. It will all work out in the end!

Yes and no. He makes up his mind about something, and we talk about it and I agree. Then the next day he changes his mind. Then he changes his mind back, He is being so annoying

OMG...thats my DH. He keeps thinking we can afford more for the morgage day after day. It is annoying.

Well we are on our way to some open houses right now. Wish me luck

How did the Open Houses go?
Just so you know, I felt the same way while Fh and I were looking. WE would bicker alot about (especially) the where, the how much, and everything! We had different opinions as to what was important to us in a house! And my FH is much more cynical than I am so after a few bad houses he would go to the extreme of us NEVER finding a house and all we see is Crap.
Then we talked about if we didnt find ahouse looking for an apt and that was even worse of a conversation.
I know its hard, but try not to get too upset by it, its a long and frustrating process and its really stressful on all parties involved.
We are in the process of going to contract now and its still a pain! But the house we are buying is the first one that we both walked in and knew it would make us happy for a long time!

We were looking in the same areas...(really from Northport to Coram)

Hello I am back! We saw a lot of trash but we saw this one house that we both LOVE! And it is under $300K which was our limit. We are not approved for a mortgage yet so it is too soon to say, but we both can see ourselves living in that house!

Good luck. Looking for a place to live is tough, but you'll get through it. FH and I are stressed now just b/c we have to find an apartment and our budget is very limited, and we have no time to look. You two will continue to have your perfect relationship again soon.
