I think you look great.. It gives you a great waist line actually. I do have to disagree with putting the straps on the dress.. the straps cut you at the shoulders and will bring too much attention to the arms and draws the eyes up instead of at your little waist.

look at my dress. im a little on the big side and the strapless works best for us.. keeps the eye on the waist line and not up at the shoulders and arms.

I say you tuck the straps in the side if you really don't want them - it's all about you, not your mom. IT doesn't look like a bathing suit though - that's silly.

IMO it doesn't look like a bathing suit but if you are not comfortable with it that will show in your face. I think that you look lovely, you look like a bride and your FH's heart will stop when he sees you walking towards him!

I think the dress looks great on you. I dont care for the straps, It reminds me more of bra straps. You have to love who you are no matter what.
I wanted to lose weight before I went on vacation and I didnt lose anywhere close to what I wanted. I told FH that I didnt want to take any pics because I didnt want to look at those pics later on then I decided, I am who I am. I shouldnt feel bad or ashamed.

don't be so hard on yourself ! you look like a beautiful bride regardless of what the size is on your dress....You will have your hair and makeup on , DOJ and your bok and maybe then you will see what the rest of us see's - a beautiful bride!

hi ally! i didn't really read many of the other responses b/c i was so anxious to respond to you so i'm sorry if i'm repeating everybody else, but can i just say.......STOP!!!!! you are being SO hard on yourself and it kills me because you look gorgeous in your dress! it fits you so well and it's a beautiful gown. PLUS......if you think you look bad in your dress then that must mean that i looked bad in my gown because we are pretty much the same size and both have boobage! and i may be in denial here, but i refuse to accept that i looked bad!

seriously, what will make or break how you look in all of your pics is how you FEEL about yourself and you look great so you should feel great! when i went to my fittings i kept tugging on my dress b/c i felt so self conscious and the alterations woman told me to stop so i remembered that on the day of the wedding and just let it all go!

what really matters is the LOVE between you and your FH. on that day, nothing else matters! your day will be perfect!!!

you look SO BEAUTIFUL in that gown!! dont worry about the size you ordered it in or the size you wish you fit into. the fact is that no matter what size that dress is--it is beautiful and you look gorgeous in it. it is the dress you are going to marry your FH in!!!

i agree about the straps. as long as you dont have to worry about boobage popping out i say go without them the day of.

Okay. First of all, you have got to stop it. You are lovely, and I really like your dress. You will look exquisite on your wedding day!! Your fiance didn't ask to marry you and say 'only if you lose 50 pounds'. He said 'I love you. Be with me forever.' Please don't dismiss your value because others think an extra few pounds devalues a person. Don't let them dictate your thought process. You are beautiful and loved just as you are.

Second, if you don't need those straps to hold up the dress, lose them. You have nice shoulders, and from what I can see on these pics, no back fat coming over the top of the dress. LOSE THOSE STRAPS. Tuck them in, or whatever. BUT IF YOU NEED THEM, AND IF YOU WILL BE HOISTING THE DRESS UP ALL NIGHT, KEEP THEM.

Can you leave them down for the church and the pics, but maybe use them for the dancing??

I also don't see any underarm fat there, so right away, that's three counts on which you are doing better than me. Your boobs are very big, but remember, while they are sometimes a drag, there are millions of women who would kill for them. The dress gives you a great shape- small in the waist.

I think you look beautiful, and I love the dress. Just consider the straps. And if you do decide to tuck them, make sure you pin them, because runaway straps ruin pics!!!

Please be kind to yourself! And trust me, you are not the only bride-to-be to not lose weight by her wedding date. Count me as another. And I know there are more of us!! Waiter!! More bread!

Have the straps removed - I don't think it would be that hard. Since the dress cinches so nicely at your waist, why don't you add a sash in the color of the band at the bottom of your dress. It would define your waist more and break up the white a bit.

I don't know what your DOJ is going to be but maybe try some really sparkely necklace and earrings to add some pop to your entire look.
