My Final Fitting with Fugly Pix

Original post by AllyDrew1108

Ugh, the dress is so pretty and I hate the way I look. I'm so depressed. I know it's my own fault and all that, but I have this huge boobage (not cleavage, but just endless boobs) and back and just bummed that I never took off the 50 lbs I planned on. I just wanted to be a size 20 or 22, not a 10, but not the biggest size David's Bridal makes. And yes, I'm wearing lots of armor under there.

Thanks for listening.
PS My mom made them put straps on this dress, it was strapless, now it looks bathing suit like to me.

09er crashing here, but I wanted to tell you that I think the dress looks great on you. It fits perfectly and it definitely does not look like a bathin suit. You are going to be a gorgeous bride!!!

OMG! You are too funny, 'more bread' --- ha ha!

Based on what you and the other girls are saying, I'm sneaking the straps into my dress. I knew I went strapless for a reason. My mom even said that she wanted me to get straps because the dress had a huge gap in the chest area - like before they fixed it there was a weird space - which is odd, I'm a 44DDD, are you telling me that this dress is made for a girl with a BIGGER chest than that? Ha ha! Anyway, once they fitted it and fixed the weird gap/space between my bra and the dress, the straps were pointless.

You all made me feel like crying, you're always so supportive and kind. I'm going to try to keep upbeat and just watch myself the next two weeks. I look at all of you lovely skinnies and even the slightly chubby girls and just wish I had what you all have. I hate to admit that, but it's true

PS I meant to quote below:
------------------------------
Okay. First of all, you have got to stop it. You are lovely, and I really like your dress. You will look exquisite on your wedding day!! Your fiance didn't ask to marry you and say 'only if you lose 50 pounds'. He said 'I love you. Be with me forever.' Please don't dismiss your value because others think an extra few pounds devalues a person. Don't let them dictate your thought process. You are beautiful and loved just as you are.

Second, if you don't need those straps to hold up the dress, lose them. You have nice shoulders, and from what I can see on these pics, no back fat coming over the top of the dress. LOSE THOSE STRAPS. Tuck them in, or whatever. BUT IF YOU NEED THEM, AND IF YOU WILL BE HOISTING THE DRESS UP ALL NIGHT, KEEP THEM.

Can you leave them down for the church and the pics, but maybe use them for the dancing??

I also don't see any underarm fat there, so right away, that's three counts on which you are doing better than me. Your boobs are very big, but remember, while they are sometimes a drag, there are millions of women who would kill for them. The dress gives you a great shape- small in the waist.

I think you look beautiful, and I love the dress. Just consider the straps. And if you do decide to tuck them, make sure you pin them, because runaway straps ruin pics!!!

Please be kind to yourself! And trust me, you are not the only bride-to-be to not lose weight by her wedding date. Count me as another. And I know there are more of us!! Waiter!! More bread!

I meant every word of it. And the day I'm 'slightly chubby' is the day the double whopper with cheese is 'just slightly awesome', you know what I mean? I'm trying, but I just don't have it in me to do the '30 day shred' some of these ladies do. My complete respect to those of you who do it. My complete respect to those of us who don't as well. We're all SUPPOSED to be different. Otherwise, God wouldn't have made us technicolor! (disclaimer- that statement in no way supports creationism. The Big Bang could just have easily made us technicolor.) You know what I mean.
