I would just go with the standard 20% over what it's costing you...

i just had my trial yesterday. it cost $35, so i tipped $10. i thought the trial would be $65. the cost the day of is $55. my style is really simple, with a blowout and then half up and half down. i loved the way it was blown out, i wish i could do that at home.
