My friend is getting divorced

I am so sad right now and don't know how to help my friend. She called me last night to let me know that her and her husband filed for divorce last Thursday. Things had been rough for a while (although not known to any of us) and it all came crashing down when they were at a party a couple of weeks ago. Her and some of her friends were using a girl's phone to call another friend in Florida. When my friend got on the phone another call was coming in and it was her own husband! He was calling this other girl from the bathroom of the party - what a slime! Basically at that point it all came out that he was cheating on her with this other girl (my friend's friend). I am so sad for her and don't know what to do/say to help her...especially since I'm over here happily planning my wedding. Thanks for listening girls...I just feel so bad.

to you friend. That is horrible! I don't know what you should say to her. Maybe have a night out with just the two of you and no talk of weddings/husbands/guys at all. Just be there for her.

That is absoultely terrible. I send hugs to her for her broken heart. I know it must be upsetting to you too. Its not easy hearing about divorce when your planning your wedding.

Been there. One of my BMs was also cheated on, and now she's almost divorced (just waiting to sign the papers). I always feel bad talking about how good things are going between DH and me around her. Just because I don't want to sound like I'm gloating you know?

I was in the same situation with my son's father. He cheated on me that way. I answered his phone while I was speaking to my mother and it was some girl from Fla. Needless to say I broke off the engagement(thank god we didn't marry) and continue to get my support!!! I know what it feels like, but at the time I just surrounded myself with friends and family. I must have really not cared for him the way I thought I did, because I forgot him rather quickly.

Send hugs her way for me. And just take her out..take her mind off things. If she wants/needs to talk about it - just be there for her and make sure she knows that - that's the most important thing when you have a friend going through something like this...

What an @ss!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I feel so sorry that your friend is upset, however I am happy that she found out! I hope that she realizes soon that he is a jerk and that she is better off without that cheater and friend!!! I don't really know what you can say to make things better, but just be their for her when she needs a friend to talk to.

What a slimeball *******! Did your friend want to kill that girl right then and there? How did her husband react in her finding this out?
