check this out - they got married in Sicily. . . i am not sure what year but she was born in 1916!

and check out my brother holding me in this pic - holy 80s batman!

My grandma matilde and my grandpa vincenzo - my nonna passed away at 35 when my mom was only 16 we only have about 5 pictures of her!

my parents wedding in 1966, sicily - my mom was only 18 and my dad was 25- they got married in less than three months so they could come to america. . .check out my uncle pasqualino in short pants!

and this last one is my family - way before i was born, i love this pic so much - we have so many pictures of the twin towers, since my parents werent born here they loved taking us to do 'touristy' things so i got to see a lot of stuff that many new yorkers never go to see!

Back then they got married really young. She had my mom when she was 16. It's so crazy!!!!!!!

wow those pics are really cool! I love looking at my grandparents and parents pics!!!! And i love that she had a house / cave - times were different!

aww thanks so much!

yeah poor thing, she lost her mom at 15/16 and got married at 18 so she said she threw up the entire three months until her wedding - she even threw up on the bus after buying her dress bc she was so nervous! but she forgot all about it the day of!

and then her great aunt was chasing her around trying to tell her the 'facts of life' for the whole reception and as my mom was sneaking away for their honeymoon her great aunt was screaming 'but she wont know what to do!!!'

aww thanks so much!

HAHA that's hysterical, I'm sure she's figured it out by now w/out the guidance of her great aunt. That is so sad that she lost her mom that young But I'm sure this means so much to her to help plan her daughter's wedding.

the other girl is my cousin tina aka my MOH - we looked so much alike as babies that our parents have pictures of us that THEY dont even know who the picture is of!! and it doesnt help that i wore all of her hand me downs ( we are 6 years apart, our families are ridiculously frugal!)

I think it's like that in every family! Just take the pictures and whoever has the cleanest clothes you have to assume that the pic is of your cousin
