My gripe of the day..........

Original post by angl2001

Does it drive anyone else nuts when someone replies to a thread without reading the responses and types either the same exact thing someone else did, or doesnt read thru to see the OP answered someone elses reply and that your idea is no good for them or they dont like your idea? I UNDER STAND IF IT IS A 4-300 PAGE LONG THREAD but if its only a page or 2 thats what gets to me lol!
lol i see this so much and it drives me nuts...i understand if its people posting at the same exact time...but when 1 is on top and 1 on the bottom of the page or 1 on page one then 1 on page 2...that drives me crazy lol!!
Thank you and goodnight

Ok, I'll go one step further. I get SUPER frustrated when I (the OP) ask for advice and specifically say in my ORIGINAL post that I don't want something that has A B or C in it.

Then I get responses that suggest that I look into A B or C.

Did you not READ my whole post?!!? Notttttt helpful!

Some people are notorious for that!

I hate that also...I think ALOT of people never fully read posts. They skim through for the question and reply based on whatever they managed to read.

OK I JUST RE-READ THAT POST LOL., you know..
If i post a question or thread for opinions
and if i get the same reply or opionion 20 times I would think that the majority agrees and the thread was helpful., if i ask and get 20 different opinions i get even more confused, so at times this is a good thing.

Nope... I dont' have time to read thru every single response to a thread that is already 2 or 3 pages long (kinda like this one... and I'm probably committing this cardinal sin you speak of ).

You're turning into Petet Griffin with your gripe posts... LOL!!!! Did you ever see that episode when he gets a job with the local news and his segment is call 'You know what grinds my gears'??

i agree
sometimes, my main objective is to answer the OP's question and i dont read ALL the responses; especially if there are several pages

same thing

sorry but i do it all the time.

if i am asking a question regarding the question for more clarification or etc ill try to go back a skim to see if it was asked/answered but thats it.

If someone asks for my opinion I'll give it even if someone says the same thing. Sometimes if I'm feeling good I'll even quote what someone says and write 'ditto'.

I thought that was the point?

unfortunetly not everyone has the time to read through even if it is just 2 pages, but may feel they really want to share their opinion.

dont be sorry for voicing your opinion i dont think anyone was bothered by you doing so.

right because i thought that if you are asking for an opinion you kinda want to see how many people say its good/bad or whatever the question might be. I know when i ask i dont want just one repsonse saying its a good idea... i want to know that more people think its good... then i feel better about my decision

Thats why I dont answer a question if I notice it has pages of replies. Im guessing the answer is somewhere in there.
