My guests will steal the centerpieces...

and not even realize they belong to the catering hall! How can I let them know that I only provided the bows that go under the candelabras & not the candelabras themselves??

I am so waiting to get a bill in the mail for 12 Candelabras !

Don't worry, I'm sure the people at the hall will take care of it. Anyway I highly doubt anyone will be able to hide a candelabra under his/her shirt!

WOW, that is such a good question. I mean, my immediate family would just know better, but there's some shady characters on the outskirts of the gene pool! Ha, oh geez. Maybe inform your wait staff that if they hear anyone talking about how lovely your centerpiece would look in their dining room that they should put the smack down on them! (or politely tell your guests they are not for the taking). I mean, I have been to weddings where they make announcements that the centerpieces must stay, and that is just tacky to me. JMO

Melanie, same here - you never know! Most people think the centerpieces ARE for taking home. How is the hall or anyone else really going to keep track of all those people? I'll let you know as well! Hmmm...

I agree about the announcement... that is what I am trying to avoid.... FI though maybe if we placed a 'thank you to the Harbor Club for providing the centerpieces' at the base of each, but I think that is still too vague. After all, the message is not for the astute guests .

Definatly an announcement

I was at a wedding recently and the DJ made an annoucement that the stands were not up for grabs when it was time to give away the centerpiece.

Maybe you can make a little tent say something like;

The centerpieces are provided by the hall and the flowers by _____Florist

I have been to a wedding where the DJ made an informal announcement:

'Please do not Borrow the centerpieces from the hall, unless you can return them before the next wedding, but please feel free to take the flowers home'.

Everyone got a laugh and didn't take it the wrong way.
