i am. i'm being very adventurous with the invites. i am making all the invites, the stds and reply cards too. i even lined 96 envelopes with wrapping paper. i am friggin exhausted. but i am unemployed, looking for a teaching job and working a couple of nights a week and compared to what i used to do, i am up for the challenge. but i don't know how long this will last!!!

Let me know how this goes for you. I have been doing calligraphy since high school as well and figured that I would address all of our invitations as well. Which font are you learning?

omg, i measured the length of my envelope, which was about 7'. then i cut the roll that was 28' give or take an inch into smaller 7 inch rolls. then i took the roll and put it into my envelope, pretty side up, cut it where the point of the flap was. then i folded down the paper along the part you lick and cut those pieces off so it was triangular like the flap. then i used a glue stick and glued the paper to the flap. i will post pics when everything is done. it took about 3 1/2 hours to do about 95 envelopes. but the paper was about $1.50 a roll at party city and i bought and used 3 rolls! each roll did about 30 envelopes! it is unique, b/c the paper is a foil applique paper, if that makes sense.

Are you handwriting the invitations also?

HELL NO!!! thought about it, but i'm not THAT insane!!! however, i think that i may print out the wording and then hand write our names on the invitations . still toying with that idea.

Cocoa, I am so impressed with your creativity and talent. Even if I had the time to do this stuff, there is no way I would be able to! I have terrible handwriting and am completely uncreative, so I have a lot of admiration for the do-it-yourself brides!

thank you! however, there is something to be said about paying for it all...sometimes your sanity is worth it!

Kudos to you!!!!

I am doing my invites as well (with a very simple font though ). And I have a question:

How big are your letters? Does the address take up the whole envelope or are you using about half the envelope? I am not sure what they correct way is

Re: my hands gonna fall off!!!

i'm going to try to keep it small b/c i think that my handwriting looks better small. but i have seen some beautiful envelopes where the address takes up practically the whole thing. some have like an inch of space between the name and address and city/state lines. i'm still playing around though!
