Girls, this has been a wonderful week for me being your BOTW! I know Celia will do a great job, but I've still got one more question to go!!


So tonight FH and I were being really mushy...and he was saying all kinds of wonderful things that remind me why I am marrying him and things that make me wonder what on Earth I did to deserve him...so that is what inspired this question:

What is the most romantic time that you and your FI have had ASIDE from your proposal??


For us its a little story. FH had a fiance before me, but they ended it. He proposed after 6 months and they were young..it was too soon and not right. So when he started dating me he still had the ering/wedding band from her. After we had been dating for a while and knew that we wanted to get married FH decided that he needed a fresh start, so we went together to the jeweler to size me for a ring and to sell the wedding set from his ex. That night with the money that he got from selling the bands we both got dressed up for a date (which we almost never do...) and he took me to the most AMAZING dinner...the food was delicious and FH was the perfect gentleman all night...opening doors, helping me into my seat, holding my hand across the table, playing footsie...It was wonderful. I fell in love with him all over again that night. So happy to be marrying him!!

its not a mushy thing but i still have the water bottle when we met and ripped the paper off to get his # and the exp.date on it is our daughter bday the date and year awwwwwwwww

Aww!!! great question.. . the Fh has had some pretty good romantic moments...before we went to cozumel in june i was in the hospital...i didn't care what anyone said we were going on this trip! Lol..i wasn't my self and still was in a lot of pain but Fh took such great care of me!!! and not a peep that we couldn't do everything as planned! and i also have to say that he has been so good with the wedding planning its beyond romantic to me that he really wants things to go well

Fh is the biggest romantic I have eve met. There have been so many romantic moments but the first was our 1month anniversary. We went out to his house in Greenport. He had 30 Roses sent to me there, 1 for each day we were together along with a beautiful poem. We had the fireplace going (mine you it was the middle of June) and he gave me the most wonderful massage in front of the fireplace. It was then that I realized I wanted to marry this man.

Sophomore year of college. FH gave me a 'promise ring.' He came to visit me in college, rented a hotel room, decorated with candles and rose petals, and wrote me this amazing letter.

I guess it was his proposal to propose one day

It would have to be the night we first said I love you to each other. It was our first ski vacation together in Vermont, over New Years. On New Years Eve, we sat in front of the fire allll night, talking about things and us, and then the I love you's just happened. It was very simple and romantic and i'll never forget it.

both of our best friends got married last October (2007), and that entire weekend was great. we kinda fell in love all over again. it was by far the greatest weekned we had together

It was when I had surgery and he came over and put his arm around me all night and gave me my medicine and lifted me out of bed and he brought me flowers and all the sprite I was allowed to drink.

Im not sure if he even remembers this but I know if he did, he would say it was also the most romantic time we had together. We had a huge fight, basically almost breaking up (over something really serious) and we stayed up all night trying to talk it out and basically both sitting their crying together (dont tell him i told ya )...the sun was rising finally and we had a big picture window that we could see it from...i know how corny this sounds but we were both sitting their side by side at this point and like sooo broken down cuz of the fight, tears, everything and at that moment, we kinda fell back in love again watching the sunrise and we just put it all aside at and worked it out in those few moments just sitting there.

i guess i could say it was last weekend. i wasn't feeling well and fh popped up with flowers and he said he made me soup (which i think his mom made) and we layed in the bed.

FH is not too romantic so when romantic things happen it is the best!

I think as of now the most romantic thing has been on 2 occasions he has said right before we go to sleep how he can't wait to marry me.
now I know prob all of your FH might says this on a regular basis since you have gotten engaged but for me this is really so nice for him to say and means so much!

The one thing that first came to mind is when I really wanted an ipod but didn't really have the money at the time to buy something that I didn't actually need. So, one night I go to FH's house and he tells me he got a new song on his ipod that he wants me to hear. I'm like okay sure, so he gives me the earphones and I have no idea why he's so excited over a song and what it could be. So I start to listen and it's our wedding song Feels Like Home (this was before we were engaged though) and I'm like you have this song on your ipod already saying this all confused and like what's wrong with you haha. Then he shows me the ipod and I see that it's the different shape than his and went omg you bought me an ipod. It was so sweet and the buildup of how he thought of what to do was just too cute to me. I loved the whole moment and cried hahaha.

ETA: He's sooo not a planner so the whole way he did it was such a shock to me lol

hmm good question.. i guess anytime we've gone away on our own.. just being together for an extended period of time feels great (we don't live together so anytime we get to ourselves is amazing)

probably when he was trying to get me to go out with him and had decorated my car with purple ribbons (my fave color) and purple flowers and bows, and then for vday decorated my entire lawn with roses and chocolates, he so effing cute i love him

hmm let's see... last year i had a really bad case of strep throat and i was in bed for like 3 days, had to take off from work etc... this happened to be around valentines day

so valentines day comes and im laying in bed looking a mess... all of a sudden fh is at my bedroom door (we dont live with each other but we have keys to each others houses just in case, so he let himself in so i didnt have to go downstairs) with a whole bunch of little vday things- one of those oversized cards, heart things, candy, stuffed animal, and a heart bracelet... and then he stayed with me the rest of the day and we watched movies, it was very sweet

I completely completey understand. Fh is the same way and him saying things like that on the rare occasion DO mean a lot.
