i say wear the headpiece!! jk... that is so sweet. I really like wrapping the bo-k in it and the garter idea.

Nope no flower girl - b/c i know i would be able to like cut the veil down and use some of it on her... i want a long veil like my mom has so it was kinda fun to put it on and see what it looked like LOL

LOL yeah, that was gonna be my suggestion...not sure it's so common nowadays, but I know that you could but a veil on a FG if you wanted.
Love your ideas though. But does this mean that you won't have the so popular Yankee garter?! ;)

Ohh yea i know - i have had my eyes on the Yankee garter for a while - so i might end up having like 3 garters (yankee one, yankee throw and my moms lace lol) guess i gotta think about this!!!

Is there any way someone could restore it for what you might pay for a new veil? I'd be so excited if I could wear something of my mom's as it was then on my wedding day!

love the idea of wrapping your bouquet with the lace!!!! For my sister's wedding, my mom took pieces of my sister's dress that were altered and made a ring pillow, not sure if you can do something like that...
ALso the headpiece has nice pieces of lace too you can use that with your bouquet or as the garter like you said, such good ideas!
