my mom Update 11:30

she was just picked up by ambulance. She is having severe stomache pains and is vomiting. I hope everything is okay. SHe had her gallbladder removed 3 weeks ago so the dr was concerned that she ruptured something... i hope thats not the case.. hopefully its just food poisoning but the Dr. said it wouldnt cause stomache pains..

i dont know! my sister and my dad went. im going to wait here, my brother isnt home yet.

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!!! You are all sooooo very supportive!

I just got back from the hospital.. they still dont know anything. They think its possibly a gall stone left behine from when her gallbladder was removed 3 wks ago.. they are waiting to do the catscan.

As of right now I dont know if we are going away tomorrow. depending if my mom needs surgery. MY dad said for me to go. but i dont think i will be ok doing that.

ill keep you posted if i find out more.

UPDATE 11:30

They are transfering my mom to LIJ. They think she either has built up fluid or and Infection from the surgery. they cant tell for sure because she wasnt able to drink enough of the fluid she needs to take to be able to read the scan.

so we are still waiting.. i feel so helpless

Does it make sense that she could have an infection from the surgery from 3 weeks ago

oh no! im sure she will be fine... and shes gettign help right away.. stay strong and keep us posetd :(

thank you!!! she was actaully feeling like this for 6 hrs.. she finally couldnt take it anymore and it wasnt getting any better!!

well my FH also has stomach problems.. and he will tough it out for a bit then it gets worse... but he gets better.. unfor to be in pain hurts more then being in the hospital...

but she will be better.

Oh I hope everything is ok. Let us know what happens

I am sure she'll be ok - having her go to the hospital was the best thing. At least she'll be monitored and I am sure she will be home as soon as you know it

My mother had her gallbladder removed, and when she went into the hospital they realized that it caused things to back up and gave her pancreatitis(which had her going to the hospital for the same thing). She is fine now, but she really had to watch what she ate for a while.

sometimes after gall bladder surgery there can be a small problem with the comon bile duct that causes vomiting pain etc...it requires a minor surgery and usually you are home in a day or two........I will keep your m om in my prayers
