My mother, sister and younger brother not coming to my wedding...

Dont want to get into details just needed to put it in print to believe it! My brother is young(13)so I cant be angry with him but my mother and my sister who was supposed to be my MOH. This is unforgivable! My sister disappeared after lending her money I didnt have and I havent heard from her since. My mother would show if I ****** up her latest drama she caused but I just cant handle the trouble and humiliation she causes anymore. My other brother cant even talk to her anymore. Just some history...my mom walked out on us when we were little and we let her back in. She has always treated us as if we were someone elses kids that she was sitting for. Strangers would get birthday gifts before we did, we would be told she didnt have the money! Okay so why would I find it surprising 30+yrs later when she tells me she's going on vacation with her friends and when I bring up the wedding in the same conversation she tells me that she hopes she has the money to fly up here by then. So I said 'are you telling me you might not be coming to my wedding?' and she tells me well it's not that I dont want to I just dont know if I'll have money. WELL HOW ABOUT YOU TAKE THE MONEY YOUR GOING AWAY WITH YOUR GIRLFRIENDS WITH AND PUT IT IN THE BANK SO YOU CAN MAKE IT TO YOUR DAUGHTERS WEDDING!!!!!!!!!! I want to say I just dont care but it hurts that my own family would do this to me.

awwww I am soooo sorry sweetie I totally understand your situation ~ I have a similar situation ~ I have not talked to my mother in over 2 years... FM if you need to chat or vent further!!!

Awww, I'm sorry sweetie. I'm in a similar situtation so you're not alone and you cana lways FM me if you want to talk. My Mom took off when I was 6 and my sister was 3. My Dad raised us. She was just up here from FL for my bridal shower, but only because my FFIL used his miles to get her tickets. My Mom is a stroke patient and isn't working because of it, so she really doesn't have money,. but she's supposed to be getting money, yada yada. We never know what to believe. My 13 y/o brother is one of my readers and I really hope they do make it here, but I'm not counting on it. My Dad was thinking about flying her up here so I wouldn't be upset, but I'm sick of my Dad always coming to her rescue. He always put presents under the x-mas tree from her when we were little and what not, so I've decided that whatever happens happens. If she's there, I will eb ecstatic, but if she's not, I'm still marrying the man of my dreams and nothing can ruin that.

Thank you! That is a wonderful way of putting it. I've had a really hard time for awhile dealing with all that's been going on and didnt want to talk to anyone about it because I thought I would be the one who would be in the poor light but it's just gotten to be too much to handle. I def will take you up on the FM offer.

Just had a really good conversation with my cousin that Im close to that also lives in FLA. and I feel alittle better because she told me stories that I wasnt aware of about her and her mom and now I dont feel so alone! I really want to thank you guys for listening and being there with hugs for me I def. needed some today.
