went to SS and DMV so now I'm legitimately Lisa G. it wasn't as painful as I expected, although i stil have to do all cc, bank stuff, etc.

SS wasw quick - but DMV took forever.
I had the same thing. 5 min at SS office, almost 2 hrs at DMV.

I just did mine today as well. Went to SS first and then DMV in Garden City. I didn't wait too long - overall an hour for both - and DMV didn't ask for a social security card.

YAY, SO exciting!! What did you need to bring to the DMV?? i went to SS months ago but have not gone to the DMV yet. I've changed bank accounts & all that but I hate the DMV...
You girls are lucky SS was quick for you...when I went, I was there for almost 2 HOURS Interesting people in there, that's for sure.

the DMV needs your original marriage license (they don't accept copies) and your current license.

Congrats!! Funny you bring up the banking stuff. THAT'S where it felt more real to me. Changing my name and adding him to my accounts. It was really a strange feeling.
