My October 12 Wedding Review!!!

My October 12 Wedding Review!!!

I am officially a married woman now. I just got back from Hawaii which was excellent!!! My wedding day went very well with the exception of the rain which was out of our control. That was a little disappointing that we could not take many outdoor pictures. I had a great time though at my own wedding!!!

Hair & Makeup: My hair, my moms hair, two bridesmaids and the flower girls hair were all done at the Christopher Jon Salon in Sayville. The hair came out great. We had a 7:00 am appointment. My hair lasted all day long into the evening and even with the rain stayed in place. Amy did my hair and she did an excellent job.
Makeup: Olga did my makeup she did a good job. It didn't last as much as I would have liked though but it did look beautiful. I also had some blemishes but she did a good job covering it up.

Flowers: We used James Cress Florist they did a excellent job. The flowers were delivered right on time. We did not know too much about flowers but we told him the colors we wanted. The flowers really complimented the dresses. The centerpieces were elegant yet simple which is what we wanted. They also put flowers on the pews in the church and rose petals around our cake which looked very nice.

Church of the Good Shepard- We had a ceremony. It was really beautiful. I was nervous walking down the isle but once I was saying my vows it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be so for those of you who are worried its not bad. Also it was really nice to have close family and friends around us. Our priest was really good. He even added some comic relief to the ceremony.

Photographer-ADA We used Tony the owner. We also had an assistant. Tony is a really great guy to work with. He is funny and makes everyone feel at ease. Since it was raining we took a lot of indoor shots in my home and at the Villa but I am confident he did a great job. We still haven't received the proofs yet though. They should be ready this week.
Video- Mike at ADA did our video. We just picked it up yesterday. He did a great job. He was very unobtrusive at the wedding which was really good. The video came out great!

Limo- M&V- They did an excellent job. The lady driver showed up right on time. She had a huge golf umbrella which was very helpful with the rain. She escorted each person to the limo. She also straightened out my train of my dress at the church.
The next day we had the same driver who picked us up on time again at the hotel at 4:30am in the morning to take us to the airport.

Band- Body Heat Productions: They did a fabulous job. Everyone raved about the music and could not believe how well they sang all the songs. They kept the party jumping and I highly recommend them for any wedding. People are still talking about how great they were. They were definitely a big part of making our wedding a success!

Villa Lombardi's-The Villa was great! The food is excellent you get so much to choose from. Our Maitre D was very nice and helpful. He was there to let us know what was going to happen next and got us anything we needed. For the dinner menu you get 7 entree choices to choose from. Since we took many indoor pictures the Villa is really beautiful inside and we had a couple of different spots to take nice shots.

Helens Bridal Center in Commack- I got my wedding dress there. It is a Sweethearts gown. Tula and Amelia are really great. Tula did all the alterations on my gown and the Bridesmaid dresses. My mom also got her dress here. They are very sweet and personal. I highly recommend them. I had no problems at all.

VIP Tuxedos- My husband (I still can't believe it sometimes) did not like them. He had many problems with them and the tuxes not fitting right. The ring bearer pants ripped and I saw it at the reception. We would not recommend them.

Overall we had a perfect day. I was able to take it all in at the ceremony and really enjoy myself at my own wedding. Here is one picture from our day. I will post more when I get them.

Congratulations! You look great. Happy to hear you had a wonderful day! I was upset about the rain too and all the other brides on that weekend felt that same, like you said it was out of our control! Much happiness to you always!
