She's getting old....her arthritis gets so bad that she can't make it up the stairs most nights. The other night she couldn't even climb up the stairs in the back yard to get into the house....I had to carry her in! (She refuses to walk UP the ramp my dad made for her - silly dog)
On top of all that we think her hearing is going too!!

My dog was the same way with the ramp. I carried him for months.

Hi Kimberly,
Sorry about your dog. I just went through all of this with my older dog, it is so very difficult to watch them slow down, it got to the point I carried my dog up the stairs, and at 70 lbs, that wasn't so easy. Finally in the end I slept down stairs with him. I just tried to cherish the days he felt good, also, at night I would let him have a heating pad on his hips for a few hours, he LOOVED that. May-be your dog would too.
