My RH CLOSED!!

I spoke with my RH today and they are closing as of the end of this year. They gave us some choices...

1. We could get a refund.

2. We can have our wedding at one of the following venues:

- The Mansion at Timber Point
- Smithtown Landing Country Club
- Three Village Inn

We would like to pick one of the three choices they are giving us.

Anyone have any advice as to which one is the best place? We are visiting all of them this weekend.

I am so disappointed...

Well that explains why I couldn't find any info on Lessings home page about them.

From the looks of the website, The Mansion at Timber Point looks AMAZING. It's on my list to call and make an appointment for next week. Let me know what you thought of it!

I'm SO sorry to hear about this! I don't know about the other two but I heard the food at Smithtown CC is phenomenal!

i have been to all 3. the three village inn.. is very cozy....

timberpoint is the nicest

smthown landing is where my jr prom was,

I was at a wedding at the Mansion in Timber Point in March and it was gorgeous. It is perfect for a smaller sized wedding. We enjoyed the food and the service was wonderful as well.

I would pick Timber Point out of those 3. I have been to plenty of weddings there and they were all fantastic. It was on my short list but the min for a sat night was a bit to high for me. I don't think you will go wrong by picking it. GOOD LUCK!!

If you look at the right side of the page you'll see an ad for the Tall Grass Country Club. Weird, huh.

I think Timber Point is gorgeous. Be warned -- my sister was a bm at a wedding there and during the reception the bridal suite was robbed. The bride and groom feel that it was an inside job. The bride's mother is a lawyer and they are in the process of suing.

ETA: It wasn't just one thing stolen -- evreything of any value was taken including the bride's mother's camera with the RD pics. If I remember correctly, the Timber Point people said they were not responsible and they felt a guest was to blame.

wow really?? I had no idea! Well Timber Point was our other choice, it's supposed to be lovely and I've heard the food is great!

I honestly have never been to any of the three places, nor have I heard anything about them...but based on their names...I would probably go with The Mansion at Timber Point. Anything that has 'inn' attached to it, I think of very casual. Someone my mom knows is getting married at Smithtown Landing. I dont know anything about it, though.
My brother actually had that happen to him (out of state). They are changing the hall to a rehab facility. Luckily, though, they said they would honor any weddings or events that have been booked with them. I would bring that up to them. Look at your contract and see if there is anything that says that they must honor your event.

I only know Three village inn which is lovely but i do not know which of the 3 are closest to your original hall. i agree with an above poster- visit all 3 and get a deal for this inconvenience.

I'm so sorry!!! I don't think you can really go wrong with any Lessing's properties but I would probably do Timber Point. Good luck with everything!!!
