My mom booked my shower this week, and it's not going to be a surprise but she wanted to wait until a few weeks before to tell me, I just dont want to walk into a room full of people not knowing, cause I get shy sometimes. So I'm fine with her waiting....BUT she circled the date on the calender and I know it's the date because she told me it would be a holiday weekend plus FMIL has written on that day on her calender 'don't work' so uh yea I know my date, but I'll let my mom think I don't know until she 'tells' me FH & I have been cracking up about it, but I have no one to tell because I dont want my mom to know I know already so you girls can share a laugh with me!!

thats so cute that she is trying hard to keep it a secret - but im not sure why FMIL put it on her calander - did they think that you wouldnt figure it out good job girl when its my time for my shower i want you scouting out the area for me - im not that big of a surprise person either

Yea. . . she tried. . . it's so hard to keep secrets! Especially when you write things down like that. BUT you never know . . . maybe she is trying to take you off the real path and the REAL date will actually be a suprise.

b/c i just thought of something.... may and june are like prime months for communions, confirmations, graduations... im screwed!!!
eta: maybe i should book earlier than i originalyl thought!

mine's on the earlier side because my mom & I didn't want to get too close to the holidays
