I am not having a VH but I am thinking of putting trays of cookies, brownies, and maybe mini muffins on each table. My SIL/MOH is an amazing baker and is willing to make these for me. (according to my brother she will anyway)
What do you all think? I am not doing a formal wedding as it is. Will it make it too non-weddingish? (is there such a word?)

Re: my turn for tacky or not tacky
We did this!! Well we didn't put them out at every table, but my mom and my Aunt baked tons of mini-cupcakes, red velvet truffles, mini cheese cakes, choc. covered strawberries, pretzels, and oreos and we put them out with our candy buffet. I think it's a great idea!

I think it's a great idea!! Baked goods always make a place warmer and more inviting. I say do it, plus ppl tend to bond over sweets

Re: my turn for tacky or not tacky
Definitely not tacky. That's awesome! The food will probably taste better anyway since it will be homemade.

Re: my turn for tacky or not tacky
not tacky BUT....IMPORTANT!!!!!!!.....
Check with your hall first! Most hall (I know mine is this way and so was Milleridge for my shower).. they do not allow you to bring in homemade baked goods, they can only be from a bakery. It's for legal/liability reasons.
My mom and sis baked tons of stuff for my shower and had to individually wrap them up for everyone to take as another favor instead cause they would not allow them to be served.
