My Venue Is Closinggggggggggg!!!!!!!!

I received the awful news today from my banquet manager that my venue's lease is up in March and they are not renewing!!!!!!!!!!

They can offer me a spot at their other location, Atlantic Beach, for a 4pm-10:30pm Sunday Wedding. I don't want my guests running out of there cause they have work the next day. I WAS doing an 11:30-5 affair at the location that is closing.

Have to find a new venue. FML!!!!!!!

Awww, that's terrible, i'm sorry!!

Do you like the place they'd be sending you to though? Cause 10:30 isn't terribly late, that's reasonable enough to get home and be able to go to work the next day I think.

OMG, could that explain why the BMs there were so cagey with me a few weeks ago when I called to ask for some info.... One of my co-workers has nothing but bad things to say about The Sands at Lido - she said they botched her brother's wedding so badly...and then here on LIW there were a couple of threads that said similar horror stories..something about the BM badmouthing other RH's because he didn't want to face the competition??

omg that's horrible! Are they refunding you anything? What kind of a venue are you looking for? I see you have a year til you wedding so you will definitely find something!

So sorry to hear that. That is awful. I don't think 10:30 is that late. I would stay til 10:30 at a wedding. Do you like the new place? If not then maybe finding a different place would be better. Maybe you will like a different place better.

oh no!! that is horrible!!! i dont understand why you can't have the same time? It's bad enough they are trying to change the location on you but to change your whole wedding time too?!?! this is NOT COOL!!

That is ludacris!! I'm sooooo sorry to hear that this happened to you

10:30 isn't bad for a Sunday wedding. I would go to it!!! So, if you like the new place, I say go for it. However, if it were me....I would be totally turned off by them and I prob wouldn't want to book at their alternate location. That's just me though lol

Like the other girls said, we are here if you need help finding a new location!!
