Re: my wedding is in a couple of minths
Honestly, I don't think its too late but it will be stressful. I think you should call and find out if your endors are available for the saturday. The cost of the RH will def be higher. If your vendors are not available I don't think its worth it but to ease your mind, it won't hurt to call and find out.
I did this and after a while I realized that there is nothing I could do and just had to make the best of what it is. since we all doubt decisions we make about the wedding, this is natural but honestly I think you should look into it if you are having doubts.
If nothing else, it will help you stop wondering what if

Re: my wedding is in a couple of minths
i keep going back and forth with the sunday doubts too... i'm afraid that people will leave early but then i remember that the important people will be there until the end... also, all the oot guests arent going anywhere cause they will be staying at a hotel, so they have no reason to leave early... if it's really bothering you so much, then there's no harm in just checking out a sat but it might make you even more stressed out to have to reschedule with your vendors... don't worry, everything will work out!!

Re: my wedding is in a couple of minths
if your wedding is not on 10/10/10 why does the profile info have that day listed on it? were you burned with a vendor before? another LIWer? either way, I would call all the vendors and ask if a Saturday is open.
when i got engaged, FH and I had 10.10.10 as the day but when we saw it was a Sunday, we decided to move it to Fri or Saturday because we didn't want guests feeling sad that they had to work Monday..lol.
I don't think you should change it. I think changing dates with vendors will be a PITA. Plus it's sometimes best to stick with your first choice and not change.

I know what you mean... 100% but i would say keep it as it is... you picked the date for a reason... eaither $$ or sentimental value or ease....
stick with your gut
OR we can both complain together

Hmmm if it's really going to bother you, I say look into it... but I feel like the chances of ALL your vendors being available are kinda slim...but you never know!
If you want it, look into it!

Re: my wedding is in a couple of minths
I'd be afraid to change it. With my luck, it would pour on the Saturday and Sunday would be gorgeous. LOL. If that happened, I'd be kicking myself forever!!! I am having a Saturday morning wedding, so I understand the doubts. But, I'm sticking to my decision. Hopefully people will drink and dance, even though it'll only be 1:00 in the afternoon!!

It worked for me. I changed my date by calling all my vendors and seeing if the new date was available. It was available so I didn't have any issues. I say try and see. It doesn't hurt to try.

Re: my wedding is in a couple of minths
Oh noo, As someone who has done this I will say that it can be done, but its going to be a pain, I had to change my date 2 months back to get a date that all my vendors had when I switched my date ( and this was at the beginning of this year ) . I think you picked your date for a reason, everyone that you care about and matters will be there. But it doesn't hurt to ask if it is really bothering you. Are you open to months besides April? Maybe pushing it back?

Re: my wedding is in a couple of minths
I say, if it bothers you it couldn't hurt to try. If it were me and I were worried about people leaving, I would look into moving up the time of the reception a bit first and if that can be done maybe that will make you feel better. Re-doing vendor stuff is going to be super stressful but, like I said, if it really bugs you then what's the harm in trying? Do what you want, its your wedding! Mine is on a Sunday and I am happy with it because I know that everyone who loves me and cares about me will be there and they will have a blast!, as will I Don't worry, your wedding will be fabulous no matter what day you have it on!

Re: my wedding is in a couple of minths
I'd do it. You're getting married off-peak, so your chances are better than if you were a June bride.
Can't hurt to call and ask... your biggest problem will be the RH and the church. Start there and then work your way through your vendors.
I wanted a Saturday in the WORST way, but at first it wasn't affordable so we had a Friday, and *I* didn't like it. So I haggled shopped and begged my RH until they could book my Saturday wedding!

Re: my wedding is in a couple of minths
I would make a call to everyone to see if its possible. I changed my wedding from an afternoon wedding to an evening and I'm very happy I did. It's costing me more money but its worth it to have peace of mind.

Re: my wedding is in a couple of minths
You can probably change it but it's a Sunday of Columbus Day Weekend and people are DYING to get that day (when I went looking they told me people were booking 3 years in advance for 10/10/10). That Sunday will feel like a Saturday. Call your reception hall and see if you can change it to a Saturday. I might end up being the same amount of money.

It won't be 10.10.10 then, though.
ETA: And the answer is: don't be silly it'll be wonderful just the way it is.
thats not her actual date... i think march or april is her real date
O! I didn't know this. Then it's not Columbus Day weekend! HAHA! If you really want to change it then start making phone calls now. Doesn't hurt to ask and you'll be in a better frame of mind having the day you really want.

What's wrong with Sunday? You're so close...I wouldn't change it at this point. You might have to book all new vendors.

Re: my wedding is in a couple of minths
Honestly, I don't think it'd be worth the headache and the price. EVery single vendor is going to cost more since it's a Saturday. I don't think you should have any issues on a Sunday. Everyone who is imortant to you will make the effort to be there the whole night. You're just giving people an excuse to take Monday off! That's great in my book!
