Hi Girls,

I just wanted to let everyone know that my fi & I called our engagement off. It ended about a month ago, but I didn't want to say anything incase - we ended up working things out, ya know? Unfortunately, he has not matured - so, getting back is highly unlikely. From my past posts... a lot of the stress and BS came from meddling MIL and INLAWS in general and exFI constantly taking their sides.
I've been trying to go out with my friends to get him off my mind, but I miss him a lot!!! But, it's a double-edged sword - I either miss not being with him or be with him and be miserable, not ever being allowed to make my own decisions.
I wanted to take a moment and thank you girls for all the great advice you've given me (especially T!). You girls are the best!!!

I am so sorry to hear that you have called off your wedding. But from your posts it sounds like you are making a very tough mature decision. I wish you lots of strength for the coming weeks/months and tons of happiness in the future!

Stay strong and hugs to u. I went thru it also with a abusive relationship, and meddling inlaws and broke it off, and I felt so relieved afterwards. Try to concentrate on u and u will meet the right man. It happened to me when I was not even looking for Mr.Right.
