My wedding review - 8/10/02 - Long

I haven’t really posted on here before but I wanted to give my review. I found this so useful when I was in the planning stages. So here goes:

Adam’s Tuxedo – Great Service. They did a perfect job. They even did our two ring bearers and they fit perfect. And we had 11 guys.

All Star Limos – arrived early at the hotel where I was getting ready. The limo that my parents, sister and I were in got lost on the way to the beach – where we were taking pictures before the ceremony. This stressed me out a little.

Flowers by Matthew – My Dear Husband(DH) comment – Gorgeous. The centerpieces were so beautiful. My bouquet looked fresh all day even after spending an hour at the beach for pictures and an outside ceremony. He did a fantastic job!!

James Faith – Paul Errico Band – They sounded great and really kept the party going. They did make a few mistakes. Such as pronouncing my brother-in-law’s name incorrectly, a song that was dedicated by my parents to my DH and I – they announced that it was dedicated to my sister and brother-in-law, and the bridal party wasn’t going to dance with each other and they announced that they would. We also would have liked to have met them before the day of the wedding. Although, there were a few things, the positives DEFINITELY outweighed the negatives.

Miller Place Inn – Me being in tears nine days before the wedding still makes me upset. They had a problem with the cake we picked and I felt they waited too long before calling and telling us. They also didn’t follow through on a few things that they said they would such as having muffins and bagels for the guest before the ceremony. There was nothing. Food and service at cocktail hour and reception were great. Maitre D’ was excellent – his name was Brandon.

Radisson Hotel – Service was outstanding. There was even an invitation that got lost in the mail so we had to resend to the person and they received it after the date to make reservations. The hotel went out of their way to make sure that this family was able to get a room. The manager that helped us was named Vincent.

Reverend Joe & Judy – there isn’t enough space here to write all the wonderful things we could say about them. I have to say it was the most beautiful ceremony and EVERYONE commented to us and our parents how much they loved it. We can’t wait to get the video to watch it. I am so glad that we found them. We would HIGHLY recommend them. If you want to hear about more great things, please get in touch with us.

VIP Studios – They arrived right on time at the hotel and took a few pictures there and then off to the beach. Kathy and Maria were terrific. DH said that every time he looked at them they were changing film. We can’t wait to get the proofs!! I will write more after we get them.

Wild Rose Video – if you want someone unobtrusive – this is your guy!! He was fantastic. Although, we don’t have the video yet we know that he got some great footage. We can’t wait to see it. I will write more when we do.

Sorry to hear that you were so upset before the wedding. There is NO excuse for that treatment. I am glad the rest of your plans went well and you had a nice day.
I am also a wild rose bride- Bill is wonderful.

Im so happy for you congratulations.Glad everything work out .Heard nothing but great things on here about wild rose.Arent there new owners at the miller place inn,if there is thats why i bet things were not right about certain things.

Yes, a few things went wrong that day but overall it was truly the best day of our lives!!

Oh, yeah the fire alarm also went off at the hotel when I was getting ready. So there I was standing in the corner with my dress, my veil, my hair all dry(not up yet) and the bed spread was being held by my dad over me in case the sprinklers went off. Luckily, they didn't go off and everything turned out great. My mom only wished that Bill (Wild Rose Video) was there so that we could have had that on video but it happened at 6:30am and he was coming at 7:30am.

omg that would have been great on tape but thank gosh they didnt go off, Congrats, cant wait to see you pics,i am a VIP bride too.

does VIP have other photographers beside John? I thought him and the woman who does B&W's were the only ones??
