I know it is totally not a plausible option, but I really wish we had an 'anonymous' option. You know, when someone posts a picture of something and you just REALLY want to say things like: it's just not flattering on you or those are ugly BM dresses.
But.... you don't. Because you don't want to be 'mean' or 'harsh' or 'rude' or start drama. So you either go with a 'that's nice' or you just skip the thread all together.
I would like an anonymous button so that you can say the things you truly feel without people knowing who you are. I can see how it wouldn't work on this kind of site, but that is just what I would like.

i think that part of the reason LIW works so well is that we are partly anonymous, since most people don't really know each other, but we 'know' each other just enough to prevent outright rudeness. i think it's a good thing for us to check ourselves and not say things like 'ew, that's an ugly BM dress.' it's more helpful to the brides on here if we can say nicely, 'i don't think that dress would flatter all body types' or 'i like that dress but i am not a fan of that color' or something like that. we are all looking for input here, good and bad, or else we wouldn't post - basically, a post is a request for an opinion!
I agree completely! There is always a tactful way to be honest about something. You don't have to be rude to give an opinion. For the most part, I think the girls on here do give straightforward, honest opinions....

whoops! i do that all the time- but not to get my posts up- its usually because I'm running off somewhere and i like whatever it is- i would say more but no time- soI'll stop doing that since its not helpful :)

That's easier said than done. Face it, some people are NEVER going to come outright and say, 'It is nice, if that's what you like'.....we all have different styles and won't like everything.
