Re: Nails
I am getting them done the on Friday the 6th. It is the same day as my RD, so this way they will be nice...
I decided to get them done b/c I don't want to worry about them not looking nice on the HM

Re: Nails
I'm not doing a forever french on my nails. I'm getting my nails redone the day before my wedding in the afternoon, and she does a french manicure to them that come out perfectly. They usually don't start to rub off until a week afterwards, but that's only the tips and sides.

Re: Nails
I have them and will for my wedding. You do not have to paint them or worry about the white chipping at all. If you are not used to nails I would have them done about 3-5 days before.

Re: Nails
i got them for my wedding and wish i hadn't.
they looked pretty in the pictures but i hated how they felt. plus after a few days they started to look weird. they look good from far away, but they don't look as good as a regular manicure up close.
they lasted through my 2 week honeymoon, but i got back from hawaii at 7am and was at the nail place at 11am getting them taken off.
and my real nails are ruined--it's going to take at least a month for them to grow back normally. i wish i had never done it

Re: Nails
i had gotten one once and it just didnt look good on my hands... especially because i had short nails to begin with (im a nail biter)
Anyway, i decided i didnt want tips for my wedding and worked really hard at growing them out and not biting for the few months before...... i was sooo excited to be able to have a real french manicure on my wedding day!

Re: Nails
I had them done & I usually have little boy chewed nails. We had a 3 week hm & they were fine until the very last day when I broke one (zipping up my suitcase). I think they looked great, they felt natural on my hands (I HATE regular tips) & I recommend them. Just go to a reputable place
I had the gel permanent french for the wedding. I got them on about a month before. You have to go for a fill-in every two weeks, and I had a fill in the day before the wedding. They looked great and I really loved them, but I took them off after we got home from the honeymoon. And BTW they still looked great after the HM - and we did all kinds of crazy thing like ziplining, horseback riding and white water rafting.

Yeah, I did a gel manicure with french as well. I got it done 2 days before the wedding, and just let them grow out and filed them down as they got longer. So they lasted through my HM, and now almost all of them are off. I have a tip of gel on just a few nails. My nails aren't really that weak after using the gel manicure, either. They are not perfect, but they're pretty good...not too brittle or weak. If you're not a nail person you might like this, because then when you take them off your natural nails aren't ruined.
