Nails

I am thinking of getting Shellac on my nails. I have done almost every thing possible for my nails and have yet to fine the one that makes me happy haha. The OPI Gel was terrible for me, my nails chipped in a couple of days and it was supposed to last 2 weeks. I have heard Shellac is much better. Any of you ladies have experience? I am super rough with my hands always washing, cleaning, cooking. I don't know if I should get Shellac or just weekly manicures.. My nails chip so fast ohhh decisions, decisions.

I did Shellac for a while... I recently stopped and went back to regular manicures even though I now have to go almost weekly.. The Shellac and gel just damaged my nails way to much.. made them very thin and weak...

I do acrylics on my nails because that's the only thing that has ever worked for me lol.

I had Shellac put on my natural nails before going on vacation last year. Looked good for about 3 - 4 days, but it didn't last at all and I wound up picking at the polish towards the end of my trip.

ETA: Get regular polish done, but put on a strengthening top coat daily. When I really need a manicure to last, this works for me. Oh, yeah... and wear gloves to do the dishes/housework.

I do shellac every two weeks, sometimes three. I love it. I refuse to get any other gel polish. I think the key to it lasting is to ask them to put two layers of the top coat.
