Re: name change
I'm going to change my name, but I like my new last name....it's definitely ethnic haha. Plus translated into english it means 'immortal', so I figure I can use all the help I can get.
I'm just sad because my name dies now...there's only daughters this generation.

Re: name change
I am keeping my last name professionally. Personally, I will be using FH's last name with my name as my middle name.
I love my last name, it's part of who I am. While I love everything about FH, I don't want to lose who I am.

Re: name change
I told FH I am def. not changing it for the first 6 months and then after that I would think about it. I want the same name as my kids so when I have kids I will def. change it but until then i really dont think I am going to. My last name is Parker, its the easiest name and so hard to part with

Re: name change
I am changing. I am excited and kinda sad at the same time. I am excited to take FH's name, but I am sad that I will no longer be one of the _ _ _ _ _ _ _ '_ My cousins and I all grew up with the same name and I am the first to be married and with a new name. There are so many boys to carry the name on. The thing that is going to be weird is I have a serious italian name and will now have a simple irish name.

Re: name change
I am changing my name and I can't wait. Maybe that is the traditionalist in me. However, it maybe a nightmare. FH's last name is never pronounced correctly nor is it ever spelled correctly. Still the same I can't wait.

I'm going to hyphenate on legal documents and such but casually I will just have his name.

I'm changing my name! I have no emotional ties to my current last name and I definitely want to have the same last name as our children.
Only negative is going to be my new initials...DCK.

Ahh! I am changing my name too.. if it makes you feel any better my last name is going from *plain and irish* to *insert crazy complicated name here*. Every vendor we see they go 'what? can you spell that? is that really how you pronounce that?'
I think I'm going to get a name tag after I get married.
