I just started the process. I started by going to the DMV changing my license and registration

Calling all credit cards to change your name

I went to SS first then to the DMV and the bank.
I called all my credit cards and only 1 of them required me to fax a copy of my marriage license.

I would do SS first, then DMV. Everything else after that--banks usually require at least a copy of Marriage Certificate, most other things I was able to change online o r over the phone ![]()

I did DMV first (in NJ you get your new license right then and there)
then I went to the bank and did that
Then I called credit cards, insurance, etc
Then SSN office another day
It wasnt bad at all!

did you have to fillout a form somewhere to change your name officially before or just bring your mrriage cert and its offical?
