Name some stores from when you were a kid that you loved but are now OOB

I used to love, love, love TSS. We used to go to the one in Hempstead and I thought it was soo cool when we parked on the top of the store and took the escalator down. I can still remember every inch of that store, even to how it smelled.

OMG me too!! But I used to get freaked out sometimes because I thought the cars were going to come crashing through the ceiling and crush us!

Also A&S, but that closed when I was in high school

I think I heard that 1.5 million times during Christmas season as a kid. I think my Dad threatened to cut the outlet wire on the TV, he was like Pavlov's dog after hearing it.

Anyone remember Brent City? It was so cheesy, but I remember it.

And Woolco (which was Caldor before their was Caldor)

These are totally old school Eastern Suffolk stores.

We had a TSS too...I remember going there, my parents always used to try to tell me they were going to leave me there. I would get really upset and my little brother would be like Farah, they're NOT going to leave us there, they're just joking! (he was about 4 at the time ) Remember when you could tease your kids and not get arrested?

Oh yes!! Jack in the Box, where you got free roaches w/every purchase :) :) :) . I used to hang out at one of the last one's on DPA as a teen.

Cheap John's rocked dude!! Give it up to Allure for bringing up these great blasts from the past!

There was a little place in Merrick (where CVS is now) called L.H.Martin. It was like a novelty store or whatever. That place was awesome too, I used to get all my shower curtain type halloween costumes there :)
