Names- Who Were You Named For ?

I was named for my maternal Grandmother. My name is Mary Emma. I discovered in later yrs. that Emma, meant, 'nurse', which blew me away, since no one knew that I would be a nurse in later yrs. Mary MOB

I wasnt really named after anybody. My mom went to school with a girl named Denise and she liked the name, not a great story lol but it is what it is.

I was named after Nicolette Sheridan - my mom was a BIG Knots Landing fan Only it didnt go well with my middle name 'Renee' so she had to shorten it to Nicole.


awwww i used to love knots landing. I remember nicolette sheridan's character name was paige

WOW its weird but i just posted nicolette sheridans name on knots landing which was paige, and you just mentioned it hahaha.

I used to love AW, i was so upset when it went off the air. Amanda cory was probably the only normal one on the show

mom and dad liked the name of the bar (Kerry's Corner) which was on the corner going to the hospital... Mom thought she'd change the spellling to Kerri and I would be the only one..

Only other Kerri I know spelt that way is Bemyoko

Only other Kerri I know spelt that way is Bemyoko


Oh no fear...I know 3 girls named KERRI, well with you and bemyoko, 5 girls named Kerri all spelt that way!

Mind you they are all named by their fater's favorite Irish bar and their mother's made them take away the y and make it an i!!!

I think it makes you just that much more fun and on St. Patrick's Day you have a story to tell!!!

My full name is Heather Suzanne

My parents had Christina picked out and Rebecca too

They wanted to name me after my mothers sister who passed away of cancer at 18 years old. but my Nanny was upset about it so they picked heather and used suzanne as my middle name after my aunt...a little different but its still a tribute to her

i was named for the ghost in an abbott & Costello Episode. my mom said she heard them calling for the ghost 'ohhh Mellllllllllody' and she thought it was beautiful.
